Investıgatıng The Problems Accordıng To Teachers Vıew Whıch Encountered By The Students In Need Of Protectıon Durıng Learnıng And Teachıng Process


Children in need of protection (CNP) ; It is the child who has been determined by the field experts and the court, who, due to the problems he / she experienced and lived, are in need of special measures by the Child Protection Law No. 5395. In this study; the aim of this study is to investigate the problems faced by the students who are in scope of in need of protection in the process of learning and teaching. In this research, descriptive survey model is arranged. In this study, single-case embedded design which is one of the qualitative research designs is used. The study group of the study consisted of 18 teachers, 8 male and 10 female teachers working in three different schools, in different classes, who were in children's classroom which in need of protection. The data of this study was obtained by semi-structured interview technique with the teachers in the study group. Also in different classes; A total of 46 hours of observation, both in the classroom and in the schoolyard, was conducted. A semi-structured observation form was used to obtain data through observation. The results of the observations were compared with interview and the validity and reliability were increased. The data obtained by interviewing were consistent with the findings obtained by observation. Observation results support the results of the interview. In the light of the data obtained, themes, codes and sub-codes were formed and each of them was evaluated and evaluated together with the field experts. The themes are; “learning and teaching”, “socialization and adaptation”, “problem behaviors” and “suggestions”. In accordance with these themes, codes and sub-codes are created. It was concluded that the protection of the law was abused by the students in the CNP. It was determined that students in the CNP were not willing to participate in the teaching and learning activities, their academic achievement was low, they were willing to participate in social activities, but they also tended to disrupt the order of social activity. Students in the scope of CNP; it was determined that the parents of the other students together with the teacher and his friends needed social acceptance. It has been determined that students in CNP can affect each other negatively in the school environment and in the orphanage environment. It has been determined that they tend to exhibit behavioral behaviors such as aggression towards their friends, non-compliance with the rules, avoiding/flee the school, harming school items. It has been determined that there is a lack of communication between the schools and the institutions in which the students are staying.
