Especially, the communication skills of special education teachers who have close interaction with special needs students and their families are more important. Therefore, it is aimed to examine the communication skills of teachers working in special education schools. Therefore, it is aimed to examine the communication skills of teachers working in special education schools. The survey model was used to collect the research data. The participants of the study were the teachers working in the special education schools in the province of Sakarya in the academic year 2018-2019. "Communication Skills Scale - Adult Form" developed by Korkut-Owen and Demirbaş- Çelik (2017) was used in the study. It is also examined whether there is a difference between the communication skills of the teachers working in special education schools according to their gender, graduation areas, the group they are working in, their seniority, the type of institution they work, and any course or training related to communication. As a result of the research, it was found out that teachers who work in special education schools have high communication skills in general and female teachers have higher effective listening and nonverbal communication skills than male teachers. that has emerged.
