Bu çalışmanın temel amacı Liseye Geçiş Sınavı’na hazırlanan 8. sınıf öğrencilerin sınava hazırlık sürecinde aldığı formel ve informel destek ilişkilerini ortaya koymaktır. Nitel ve sosyal ağ analizi yöntemlerinden oluşan karma araştırma ile yürütülen araştırmaya Batman ili merkezinden 10 öğretmen ve 58 öğrenci destek vermiştir. Araştırmanın verileri 2017-2018 eğitim öğretim yılında yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme tekniği ile toplanmıştır. Araştırmanın verilerinin analizinde nitel verilerde betimsel ve içerik analizi kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın sosyal ağ analizi verilerinde UCINET 6.0 yazılımı ile yoğunluk, ağ merkezileşme ölçümleri ve yapısal boşluk analizleri yapılmıştır. Araştırmanın bulgularına göre, sınava girmek zorunlu olmamasına rağmen tüm öğrenciler sınava girmeyi istemektedir. Araştırmanın sosyal ağ analizi bulgularına göre sınava hazırlanan öğrenciler akran gruplarından destek almaktadır. Ağ içinde kurulabilecek ağ ilişkilerinin % 45’i kurulmuştur.
The aim of this study is to determine the formel and informel support that 8th grade students prepared for the Transition to High School Exam. 10 teachers and 58 students from the center of Batman gave support to the research conducted with mixed research consisting of qualitative and social network analysis methods. Data of the study were collected by semi-structured interview technique in 2017-2018 academic year. In the analysis of the data of the research, descriptive and content analysis was used in the qualitative data. In the social network analysis data of the study, density, network centralization measurements and structural gap analyzes were performed with UCINET 6.0 software. According to the findings of the study, although it is not compulsory to take the exam all students want to take the exam. According to the teachers participating in the study, the change in the examination system may decrease the anxiety level of the students. According to the findings of the social network analysis of the research, the students prepared for the exam get support from their peer groups.45% of the network relations that can be established within the network have been established.
