İnsanoğlu, dünyaya çeşitli zihinsel yeteneklerle gelmiştir. Bu yeteneklerini dil ile dış dünyaya yansıtabilmiştir. Bu yönüyle dil; duygu ve düşüncelerin aktarımında etkili bir organdır. Zihin denilen ve İngilizcede mental kavramıyla karşılanan kelime içerisine düşünme temeline dayanan fiiller dâhil edilmektedir. Bu fiiller genel olarak, idrak, algı, duygu fiilleridir. Makalede, bu mental fiillerden (zihin fiilleri) duygu fiilleri ele alınmıştır. Bu fiillere ilişkin örnekler için Tarama Sözlüğünün ilk iki cildi ile Büşra Durna’nın “Tarama Sözlüğünün İlk Üç Cildinde Duygu İsim ve Fiilleri” başlıklı tamamlanmamış lisans bitirme tezi notlarından yararlanılmıştır. Tarama Sözlüğü, XIII. yüzyıldan günümüze kadar Türkiye Türkçesiyle yazılmış, 227 eserden taranan ve bugün kullanılmayan ya da anlamı, şekli değişik olarak kullanılan Türkçe sözlerin sözlüğüdür. Bu makalenin amacı, Tarama Sözlüğünün ilk iki cildinde yer alan duygu fiillerini tür ve sayı bakımından kısmî olarak değerlendirmeye çalışmaktır. Duygu ifade eden fiiller, üzüntü, şaşkınlık, nefret ve öfke, memnuniyetsizlik, memnuniyet, korkma-ürkme-çekinme, küçümseme, kibirlenme ve övünme, coşku ve heyecan, sevgi, telaş ve endişe, utanma ve çekinme ifade eden fiiller olmak üzere on iki başlık altında gruplandırılmıştır. Tarama Sözlüğünün ilk iki cildine göre, duygu ifade eden toplam 66 fiil tespit edilmiştir. Duygu ifade eden fiillerden en çok, Şaşkınlık ifade eden fiillerin (14), en az sayıda Küçümseme (1), Telaş ve Endişe (1), Utanma ve Çekinme (1) ifade eden fiillerin kullanıldığı tespit edilmiştir. Duygu fiillerinin yapısına bakıldığında; yapım eki alan duygu fiilleri (31) ile birleşik fiillerin (31) eşit sayıda, kök hâlinde (4) duygu fiillerin en az sayıda kullanıldığı görülmektedir.

Mankind has come to the world with various mental talents. He has been able to reflect these talents with the language to the outside world. In this respect, language is an effective organ in the transfer of emotions and thoughts. The words that are called the mind and based on thinking in the word which is met with the mental concept in English are included. In general, these acts are cognition, perception, emotion. In essence, emotional acts from these mental verbs are discussed. For the examples related to these actions, the first two scans of the Scanning Glossary and the unfinished graduation thesis notes titled "Emotional Nouns and Verbs in the First Three Phrases of the Browsing Dictionary" were used by Büşra Durna. Scanning Dictionary, written in the thirteenth century until the present day Turkey Turkish, 227 scanned from work today and unused or meaning, different shape is used Turkish words in the dictionary. The purpose of this essay is to try to evaluate the verbal acts of the first two senses of the Scanning Glossary in terms of type and number. Twelve headlines, expressing feelings, are expressing feelings of sadness, confusion, hatred and anger, dissatisfaction, satisfaction, fear-shyness-hesitation, contempt, arrogance and boast, enthusiasm and excitement, love. According to the first two syllables of the Browsing Dictionary, a total of 66 verbs expressing emotion have been identified. It has been found that the actions that express the most, the actions that express the astonishment (14), the actions that express the least amount of contempt (1), the worry and anxiety (1), the shame and the hesitation (1) are used. When you look at the structure of emotional actions; it is seen that the emotional verbs (31) and the combined verbs (31) are equal in number and the root verb (4) is used in the least number of emotional verbs.
