Erken çocukluk döneminde çocukların dünyayı daha gerçekçi algılamaları ve bilimsel bir bakış açısı kazanmaları, aldıkları nitelikli bir fen eğitimi ile mümkün olabilmektedir. Tüm hayatlarına temel oluşturacak bilimsel kazanımlar, fen eğitimini verecek öğretmenlerin fen öğretimine yönelik tutumlarına bağlıdır. Bu noktadan hareketle, okul öncesi eğitimin temel taşı olan öğretmenlerin, fen öğretimine yönelik üniversite eğitimleri süresince kazanmış oldukları tutumlar önem arz etmektedir. Bu araştırma, farklı bölümlerde öğrenim görmekte olan öğrencilerin fen öğretimine yönelik tutumlarını belirlemek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Betimsel tarama desenine uygunluk gösteren araştırmaya gönüllülük esasına dayalı olarak Kafkas Üniversitesi Eğitim Fakültesi Okul Öncesi Öğretmenliği 3. ve 4.Sınıf Öğrencileri ile Sosyal Bilimler Meslek Yüksek Okulu Çocuk Gelişimi Programı 1. ve 2.sınıfta öğrenim gören toplam 118 öğrenci katılmıştır. Veri toplama aracı olarak kullanılan Fen Öğretimine Yönelik Tutum Ölçeği Cho, Kim ve Choi tarafından okul öncesi öğretmen adaylarına yönelik geliştirilmiş, Türkçe’ye uyarlanması ise Çamlıbel Çakmak (2006) tarafından gerçekleştirilmiştir. Verilerin analizinde betimsel istatistiklerin yanında, Mann Whitney u ve Kruskal Wallis testi kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sonuçlarına göre; fen öğretimine yönelik araştırmaya katılan öğrencilerin %22’sinin düşük düzeyde; 50’sinin orta düzeyde; %28’inin ise yüksek düzeyde tutuma sahip olduğu görülmektedir. Bunun yanında, öğrencilerin fen öğretimine yönelik tutumları ile cinsiyet ve lise türü değişkenleri arasında anlamlı bir farklılık olmadığı tespit edilmiştir. Öğrencilerin fen öğretimine yönelik genel tutumlarının yaparak-yaşayarak fen öğretimi yönetimi boyutunda çocuk gelişimi programı lehine anlamlı bir farklılık tespit edilmiştir.

In early childhood, children are able to perceive the world more realistically and acquire a scientific point of view with a qualified science education. The scientific achievements that will be the basis for all their lives depend on the attitudes of science teachers towards science teaching. From this point of view, the attitudes of the teachers, who are the cornerstone of pre-school education, during the university education for science teaching are important. This research was conducted to determine the attitudes of the students in different departments towards science teaching. Research has organized according to the descriptive screening design. 118 students from the first and second year of the Child Development Program of the School of Social Sciences Vocational School and the 3rd and 4th grade students of Preschool Teacher Education of the Caucasus University Education Faculty participated based on voluntariness. Attitude Scale Towards Science Teaching, which was used as a data collection tool, was developed by Cho, Kim and Choi for preschool teacher candidates and adapted to Turkish by Çamlıbel Çakmak (2006). Mann Whitney u and Kruskal Wallis test were used besides descriptive statistics during the data analysis process. According to the results of the research; %22 of the students who participated in the research on science teaching were at low level; %50 of the students were at intermediate levels and %28 of the students have a high level of attitude. However, there was no significant difference between the attitudes of students towards science teaching and gender and high school type variables. A significant difference was found in the students' general attitudes towards science teaching by hands on-living experience. It is found that the aspects of the science teaching management was on the behalf of the child development program.
