Bu araştırmanın amacı, engellilerde egzersiz ve spor eğitimi bölümü öğrencilerin engellilere yönelik tutumlarının incelemektir. Araştırmaya engellilerde egzersiz ve spor eğitimi bölümünde okuyan 120 öğrenci katılmışlardır. Araştırmada veri toplama aracı olarak Yuker, Block ve Young, (1970) tarafından geliştirilen Yetersizlikten Etkilenmiş Kişilere Yönelik Tutum Ölçeği- “O Formu” (Attitude Toward Disabled Person) kullanılmıştır. Sınıf değişkenine göre yetersizlik puan ortalamaları arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir fark olduğu tespit edilmiştir (F(2,117)=9,149; p<0.05). Farkın kaynağını bulmak için yapılan LSD testinde; 1. sınıf öğrencileri lehine (yani engelli kişileri, engelli olmayan kişilerle oldukça benzer şekilde algıladığı) 2. ve 3. Sınıf öğrencilerine göre fark olduğu, 2.sınıf öğrencileri ile 3. Sınıf öğrencileri arasında da yine aynı şekilde fark olduğu belirlenmiştir. Bulgulara göre engellilerde egzersiz ve spor eğitimi bölümü öğrencilerin sınıflar artıkça engelli bireye yönelik genel tutumlarını olumsuz yönde etkilediği belirlenmiştir. Sonuç olarak, engellilerde Egzersiz ve Spor Eğitimi Bölümü öğrencilerinin olumsuz tutumlarının nedenlerinin araştırılması yapılmalıdır. Özellikle ders müfredat çalışmaları, öğrenci alım sınavı, ders hocalarının deneyimleri, öğrencilerin gittiği engelli okullarının fiziki şartları gibi birçok faktör irdelenerek çalışmalar yapılabilir.

The purpose of this study is to examine attitude of students studying at the exercises and sports training for disabled persons department towards disabled persons. 120 students studying in the exercise and sports training department for disabled persons have participated in the study. The data collection tool used in the study is the Attitude Scale for Persons Affected from Inability - “O Form” (Attitude Toward Disabled Person) developed by Yuker, Block and Young (1970). It was found that there is a statistically significant difference between the inability point averages according to the grade variable (F(2,117)=9,149; p<0.05). In the LSD test performed to find the source of the difference; these have been stated that there is difference in favor of the students of 1st grade (i.e. they perceive person with disabilities in a quite similar way as persons have no disability), compared to the students of the 2nd and 3th grades, there is also similar difference between the students of the 2nd and 3th grades. According to the findings, it was determined that general attitudes of the students of the exercise and sports training department for disabled persons’ towards the disabled person become negative in higher grades. Consequently, the reasons of the negative attitudes of Exercise and Physical Education and Sports for Disabled Persons Department should be investigated. Studies may be made by examining many factors such as in particular, curriculum activities, student recruitment exams, experiences of teachers, physical conditions of the special schools where the students had been gone.
