Yabancı dil öğretim sürecinde farklı materyallerin kullanılması gerekmektedir. Görsel sunular, filmler, şarkılar, oyunlar, öğrenci çalışma kâğıtları, sınıf içi etkinliklerde kullanılan malzemeler bu materyallerden bazılarıdır. Yabancı dil öğretimde sürecini faydalı ve eğlenceli bir şekilde yürütebilmek için bu tür materyallere ihtiyaç vardır. Bu süreçte temel materyal olarak ise ders kitapları ön plana çıkmaktadır. Dersler, bu kitaplar esas alınarak yürütülür ve farklı sınıf içi etkinliklerle de geliştirilir. Yabancılara Türkçe öğretiminde kullanılan materyallerin başında da ders kitapları gelmektedir. Öğretim süresince ana kaynak olarak ders kitapları kullanılmakta ve bunun dışında süreci destekleyici çeşitli etkinlikler düzenlenmektedir. Bu sebeple ders kitaplarının çağdaş öğretim yöntemlerine ve belirli bir plana göre hazırlanmış olması, sürecin başarılı bir şekilde yürütülmesinde çok önemlidir. Bu çalışmada Gökkuşağı Türkçe Öğretim Seti ile ilgili Arap öğrencilerin görüşlerinin hangi yönde olduğu tespit edilmeye çalışılmıştır. Bu amaç için görüşlerine başvurmak üzere Yemen Sana’a Üniversitesi Diller Fakültesi Türk Dili ve Tercüme Bölümünde okuyan 110 öğrenciden uygun örnekleme tekniğiyle 45 öğrenci seçilmiştir. Araştırmanın verileri “Yabancı Öğrencilerin Gökkuşağı Türkçe Öğretim Seti Hakkındaki Görüşleri” formuyla toplanmıştır. Form, açık uçlu olarak hazırlanmış olan on sorudan oluşmaktadır. Söz konusu form ile elde edilen veriler nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden biri olan içerik analizi ile çözümlenmiştir. Yapılan incelemeler sonucunda dinleme bölümleri dışındaki bölümler ile ilgili öğrencilerin görüşlerinin büyük bir oranda olumlu olduğu anlaşılmıştır.

Different materials must be used in the process of foreign language teaching. Visual presentations, movies, songs, games, student worksheets, materials used in classroom activities are some of these materials. Such materials are needed for useful and fun way to carry out foreign language teaching process. In this process, the textbooks come to the fore as the base material. Lessons are carried out on the basis of these books and are developed in different classroom activities. Textbooks are the main materials in teaching Turkish to foreigners. During the course, books used as the main source and otherwise process supporting various activities are held. For this reason, preparing textbooks according to modern teaching methods and a specific plan is very important in the execution of the process with success. In this study, ıts tried to determine what about the Arab students’ opinions on Gokkusagı Turkish Teaching Set. For this purpose, to refer to the views of the students studying at Yemen University of Sana’a, in the Faculty of Languages Department of Turkish Language and Translation 45 students were selected from 110 students with appropriate sampling technique. The data were collected with “Foreign Students’ opinions on Gokkusagı Turkish Teaching Set”. The form consists of ten open-ended questions. The data obtained with the form are analyzed with content analysis is one of the qualitative research methods. As a result of the views of students on listening to the views of other departments a large proportion of parts found to be positive.
