Bu çalışmada üç büyük Orhon yazıtı olan Kültigin, Bilge Kağan ve Tunyukuk yazıtlarında itaat kavramı incelenmiştir. Söz konusu yazıtlarda saptanan ve itaat kavram alanını oluşturan sözcüklerden hareketle, itaatin Köktrürk Devleti ve devleti oluşturan Türk toplulukları için önemi, itaat kavramının devlet sistemindeki yeri, itaat hiyerarşisi gibi konular üzerinde durulmuş, bu bağlamda itaat kavram alanı ve alt alanlarını oluşturan sözcükler anlamları ve yaşadıkları anlam gelişmeleri açısından değerlendirilmiştir.
In this work the concept of obedience has been examined in three great Orchon Inscriptıons such as Kültigin, Bilge Kağan and Tunyukuk. Some subjects such as the importance of obedience for Köktürk State and Turkish communities constituting the state; the place of the concept of obedience in government system; and the hierarchy of obedience have been dealed with. In this respect, words forming the semantic field of obedience and sub-fields of the concept of obedience have been evaluated in the aspects of meaning and meaning improvements they lived through.
