Bu çalışmada, Türk şiir tarihinde nesnel gerçeklik, yalınlık ve doğallığı esas alan bir estetik alt yapıyla, 1930’lu yılların sonundan itibaren toplumun alt ve orta katmanlarının dünyasını yansıtmayı hedefleyen Garip (I. Yeni) şiirine, “humour/mizah” ögesinin estetik yapı, an¬latım biçimi ve topluma yönelişte bir kaynak oluşu üze¬rinde durulacak; ayrıca İkinci Yeni şiirine “humour”dan çok “ironi”nin kullanılması ve her iki şiir hareketinin humour ve ironiyi şiirde kullanış şekli değerlendirilmeye çalışılacaktır.
This study is going to point out that, with an aes¬thetic structure based on objective truth, simplicity and unsophisticatedness in the history of Turkish poetry, Garip’s poetry (First New Movement), which since the end of the 1930’s aimed to reflect the societies middle class and lower class layers, has in matters of the aesthetic structure, the phraseology and the way of addressing the public, it’s source in the element of “humour”. Furthermore this study is going to deal with the subject of acquirement of the element “irony” instead of “humour” through the “Second New Movement”, which was seen as the new poetical movement and the analysis of the utilisation of the elements “irony” and “humour” within the poetical languages used by both movements.
