Köroğlu Destanı, bütün Türk dünyasında ve Türklerle uzun asırlar beraber yaşamış milletlerde derin etkiler bırakmış, destanî bir eserdir. Bugün dahi anlatıldığı ve dinlenildiği coğrafî alanın genişliği dikkate alındığında Türkler arasında kültür bütünlüğünü koruma bakımından önemi daha iyi anlaşılacaktır. Köroğlu Destanı gibi önemini bu derece koruyan ve icra alanı geniş bir esere başka milletlerin hayatında rastlamak zordur. Atasözleri ise bir milletin değer yargılarını anlatan sözlerdir. Yüzyıllar boyunca kazanılan yaşam deneyimlerini içeren bu sözler, o milletin düşünce, özlem, eleştiri, gözlem ve yargılarını bildirir. İnsanlara iyiyi, güzeli, doğruyu öğretmek amacıyla uyulacak ilke ve kuralları öğütler. Yazımızda Köroğlu’nun Türkmen varyantında yer alan atasözleri ele alınacaktır.
The epic of Köroğlu is an epical work that left deep influences all over the Turkish world and over the nations lived together with Turks for long centuries. Even today when taken into consideration of the wideness of its narrated and listened geopraphical area, its importance from the view of maintaining the cultural integrity between Turks will be understood much better. İt is difficult to come across such a work like the epic of Köroğlu which maintains its importance with a wide performance area, in the lives of other nations. As for proverbs they are the expressions which tell a nation’s standard of judgement. These expressions containing the acquirement of the life experiences for centuries inform that nation’s thought, yearning, criticism, observation and ideas. They advise people the principles and the rules aiming to teach the good, the beautiful and the truth. İn our writing the proverbs which take place in Turkoman variant of Köroğlu will be discussed.
