Ağız araştırmaları bu gün itibariyle çok önemli bir yere gelmiştir. İl ve İlçe düzeyinde Türkiye Türkçesi ağızları büyük bir oranda araştırılmış bolca metinler oluşturularak önemli incelemelerde bulunulmuştur. Bütün bu çalışmalarda ses bilgisi yine en önce ve kapsamlı bir şekilde incelenen konu alanıdır. İlgili ağız yörelerinin ünlü ve ünsüz varlığı; ünlü, ünsüz ve hecelerle ilgili ses olayları çalışmalarda genişçe yer almıştır. Bu makalede mevcut eserlerden hareket edilerek Türkiye Türkçesinin ünlü varlığı; ortak tanımları ile belirlenmeye ve örneklendirilmeye çalışılmıştır.
Accent research has come to very important point recently. The accents of Turkish in turkey at the level of city and town have been studied to the large extend and investigated producing lots of contexts. In these studies, phonetics is the subject of field which has been studied primarily and comprehensively. The presence of vowels and consonants of related accents in regions, sound events related with vowels, consonants ans spells take part in the studies. In this article, presence of vowels of turkish was determined with common definitions using available literature.
