In The Nineties, Existence of Women In The Turkish Theater Texts


In Turkey, the post-1980 period represents a beginning for women's rights. Women, begins to question her place in family, society and the business. In the patriarchal structure of society, woman from all levels will struggle for women's equality. The historians refer to the ten years between 1990-2000 as the longest ten years in the history of the world because of the several developments, and we can see this time interval as the introduction of 21st century. This time interval is important because of the accelerated rural-urban migration, direct passage from ignorance to an encyclopedic knowledge, the effect of globalization to the most far-flung corners of the world and in that time women has begin to question her role in society. The reproaches of the modern woman trying to exist in business has been added to the old problems like honor. Women search for a new place in society by trying to understand the equality of men and women, objecting to be silent when she is deceived, resisting to the dogma of virginity,
