Realizing Istanbul Semiotically Via The Poem ‘’ İstanbul’u Dinliyorum ‘’ By Orhan Veli Kanık

Communication is all the indicator. This in all the indicators situated in desultory a shape, consture with person, interpret indicators that spatially present in natural, personal knowledge and cultural level. This interpretation of the person creates the topic of semiology that provide facility of inspect in scientific level.. Semiology aims at explaining the meaning of the signs according to the context that they create. Denomination that target of semiology is applicable in many areas. One of them is literatüre. It’s possble to analsye the many types of literatue a like poem, novel, story in terms of semiology. From past to present many poets express himself by comelating between poem and city. City for anyone is location take cover, city for anyone is location that restful. Physical and moral evrything which exist in the city have a meaning fort he poet. This meaning is transfered by poet. Researchers used many methods to figüre out this meaning. One of this methods is semiology. In this article, it will be tried to analyze İstanbul semiotically based on the poem of Orhan Veli Kanık (İstanbul’u Dinliyorum). This study will include the basic information that will be a resource for the analysis of the poetry. Sematology and semiology methods will be used in interpreting the poem in hand. The notions that are presented in the poem will be proved by refering to associations and interpretation of the abstract and concrete signs. With this poem ( İstanbul’u Dinliyorum), the relation between İstanbul and the places that are mentioned in the poem will be explained based on a scientific foundation. In this way, it will be a poetical city analysis not architectural ones.
