Türk Dünyası Hareketliliği Değişim Programı kapsamında, Balıkesir Üniversitesi ile Özbekistan Rönesans Eğitim Üniversitesi arasında imzalanan uluslararası akademik iş birliği protokolü çerçevesinde 14 Özbek öğrenci Türkiye’ye gelerek üç ay süren stajlarını tamamlamıştır. Bu süreçte öğrenciler, otelin çeşitli departmanlarında uygulamalı eğitim alarak mesleki deneyim kazanmış, farklı kültürlerden gelen turistlerle etkileşimlerde bulunmuş ve Türkiye’deki turizm uygulamalarının katkılarını gözlemleme fırsatı elde etmiştir. Bu süreçte öğrenciler, otelin çeşitli departmanlarında uygulamalı eğitim alarak mesleki deneyim kazanmış, farklı kültürlerden gelen turistlerle etkileşimlerde bulunmuş ve Türkiye’deki turizm uygulamalarının katkılarını gözlemleme fırsatı elde etmiştir. Bu çalışma, Özbekistanlı turizm öğrencilerinin Türkiye’de gerçekleştirdikleri uluslararası staj deneyimlerini ve kültürlerarası öğrenme süreçlerini incelemeyi amaçlamaktadırAmaç doğrultusunda Balıkesir Üniversitesi Burhaniye Uygulamalı Bilimler Fakültesi Uygulama Oteli’nde staj yapan 14 öğrenciden 11’i ile görüşmeler gerçekleştirilmiştir. Çalışma, nitel araştırma yaklaşımıyla ve durum çalışması deseni kullanılarak yürütülmüş, veri toplama aracı olarak araştırmacı tarafından hazırlanan yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formu uygulanmıştır.  Görüşmeler yaklaşık 15 dakika sürmüş ve katılımcıların staj deneyimlerine ilişkin algıları, mesleki gelişimleri, kültürlerarası iletişim becerileri ve Türkiye’deki turizm uygulamalarının etkileri değerlendirilmiştir. Toplanan veriler, içerik analizi yöntemi kullanılarak analiz edilmiştir. Öğrencilerin yanıtları okunmuş, anlamlı ifadeler belirlenmiş ve ortak temalar altında toplanmıştır. Temalar, öğrencilerin deneyimlerini yansıtan ana başlıklar ve alt başlıklar hâline getirilmiş, örnek alıntılar ile desteklenmiştir. Elde edilen bulgular, öğrencilerin Türkiye’deki staj süreci boyunca iş arkadaşlarıyla iletişim, turistlerle etkileşim, uygulamalı eğitim deneyimi, Türk mutfağı ve gastronomi kültürü, iş disiplini ve kültürel farkındalık gibi alanlarda önemli kazanımlar sağladığını göstermektedir. Ayrıca öğrencilerin edinilen deneyimleri Özbekistan’daki turizm sektörüne uyarlama potansiyeli ve gelecekteki kariyer hedefleri üzerindeki etkileri de belirlenmiştir.

Under the Turkish World Mobility Exchange Program, 14 Uzbek students came to Turkey and completed their three-month internships within the framework of the international academic cooperation protocol signed between Balıkesir University and Uzbekistan Renaissance Education University. During this process, the students gained professional experience by receiving practical training in various departments of the hotel, interacted with tourists from different cultures, and had the opportunity to observe the contributions of tourism practices in Türkiye. This study aims to examine the international internship experiences and intercultural learning processes of Uzbek tourism students in Turkey. In line with this objective, interviews were conducted with 11 of the 14 students who completed their internships at the Application Hotel of the Faculty of Applied Sciences at Balıkesir University Burhaniye. The study was conducted using a qualitative research approach and a case study design, and a semi-structured interview form prepared by the researcher was used as the data collection tool. The interviews lasted approximately 15 minutes and evaluated the participants' perceptions of their internship experiences, professional development, intercultural communication skills, and the effects of tourism practices in Turkey. The collected data were analyzed using content analysis. The students' responses were read, meaningful statements were identified, and grouped under common themes. The themes were organized into main headings and subheadings reflecting the students' experiences and supported by sample quotations. The findings show that students gained significant knowledge in areas such as communication with colleagues, interaction with tourists, practical training experience, Turkish cuisine and gastronomic culture, work discipline, and cultural awareness during their internship in Türkiye. In addition, the potential for adapting the experiences gained to the tourism sector in Uzbekistan and their impact on future career goals were also determined.
