Kitap sanatları alanında hazırlanan kıymetli çalışmalar, dönemin bezeme özelliklerinin okunabilmesi açısından son derece mühimdir. Tezhiplerini inceleyeceğimiz eser de bu bakımdan önemi hâizdir. Bu çalışmada, DCBL Per. 171 envanterli Hamse-i Nizâmî, tezhip sanatı bakımından değerlendirilecektir. Çalışmanın giriş kısmında nakkaşhâne geleneğinin ve çeşitli vesilelerle yer değiştiren sanatkârların kitap sanatlarına olan katkısına değinilmiştir. Takip eden bölümde ise –eserin bu dönemde hazırlanmış olması sebebiyle- Türkmen Dönemi siyasî tarihi ve sanat hâmiliği kavramının dönemin hükümdarlarınca nasıl işlendiği özlü bir şekilde anlatılmıştır. Sonrasında eserin müellifi Nizâmî-i Gencevî ile konusuna dâir kısa bilgiler verilmiştir. Akabinde Türkmen Dönemi tezhip sanatı genel özellikleri itibariyle -sonrasında yapılacak olan tezhip değerlendirmesinin daha sağlam bir zemin üzerinde ortaya konulabilmesi için- ele alınmıştır. Daha sonra ise tezhipleri incelenecek eserin tanıtımı yapılmıştır. Tezhip değerlendirmeleri ise -verilen genel bilgiden sonra- eserde görülen sıraya göre aktarılmıştır. Mezkûr değerlendirme, görseller ve çizimlerin yan yan verilmesi sûretiyle, karşılaştırmalı bir okuma üzerinden gerçekleşmiştir. Çizimlerde her bir bezeme unsuru farklı bir renkle çizilmiştir. Böylece kompozisyon kurgusunun takibinin ve motif ayrıntısının daha iyi görülebilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Desen kurgusu, motif yapısı, kullanılan renkler ve formlar, işleme tekniği gibi hususlar açısından ayrıntılı bir şekilde incelenmeye çalışılan eserin tezhiplerinin dönemin bezeme özelliklerini ne denli yansıttığı ortaya konulmaya çalışılmıştır. Yapılan analiz neticesinde eserin dönemin tezyinî hususiyetlerini açık bir şekilde yansıttığı müşâhede edilmiştir.

The valuable works prepared in the field of book arts are extremely important in terms of reading the decorative features of the period. The work that we will examine its illuminations is also important in this respect. In this study, DCBL Per. 171 inventoried Hamse-i Nizâmî will be evaluated in terms of illumination art. In the introduction of the study, the contribution of the workshop tradition and the contribution of the artists who changed their places on various occasions to the book arts is mentioned. In the following chapter, the political history of the Turkmen period and how the concept of art patronage was handled by the rulers of the period are briefly explained, since the work was prepared in this period. Then the author of the work, Nizami Ganjavi, and brief information about its subject are given. Subsequently, the art of illumination of the Turkmen Period was discussed in terms of its general characteristics in order to provide a more solid basis for the subsequent evaluation of illumination. Then, the manuscript whose illuminations will be analyzed is introduced. The illumination evaluations -after the general information given- are given according to the order seen in the work. The aforementioned evaluation is based on a comparative reading, with visuals and drawings presented side by side. In the drawings, each decorative element is drawn in a different color. In this way, it is aimed to follow the composition and to see the details of the motifs better. The illumination of the work has been examined in detail in terms of its design, motif structure, colors and forms used, and processing technique, and it has been tried to reveal to what extent the illumination of the work reflects the decoration features of the period. As a result of the analysis, it was observed that the work clearly reflects the ornamental characteristics of the period.
