Mitoloji ve kültür, toplumların dünya görüşlerini, inançlarını, değerlerini ve sosyal normlarını şekillendiren derin bir ilişkiye sahiptir. Mitoloji, toplumların kolektif bilincini, geçmiş deneyimlerini ve kültürel miraslarını sembolik hikâyeler ve figürler aracılığıyla ifade ederken kültür de bu anlatıları geliştirir, sürdürür ve gelecek nesillere aktarır. Makalede, mitolojik isimlerin modern teknolojide, özellikle de bilişim ve yazılım teknolojilerinde kullanım şekilleri tespit edilerek, mitolojik kaynağın nasıl sürdürülebilir hâle geldiği incelenmiştir. Söz konusu tespit ve değerlendirmeler yapılırken bilişim sistemlerinde yer alan adlandırmaların tamamı incelenmiş fakat çalışma içerisinde tasnif edilerek ortaya konmuştur. Mitolojik kahramanların ve tanrıların bilişim sistemlerinde kazandığı sembolik anlam, toplumsal değerlerin modern teknolojide nasıl yankılandığı ve bu isimlendirmelerin kültürel mirasın devamlılığını nasıl gösterdiği üzerine araştırma yapılarak veriler elde edilmiştir.
Mythology and culture have a deep relationship that shapes the worldviews, beliefs, values and social norms of societies. While mythology expresses the collective consciousness of societies, their past experiences and cultural heritage through symbolic stories and figures, culture develops, sustains and transmits these narratives to future generations. In the article, the ways of using mythological names in modern technology, especially in information and software technologies, have been determined and how the mythological resource has become sustainable has been examined. While making these determinations and evaluations, all the names included in the information systems were examined, but they were classified and revealed in the study. Data have been obtained by conducting research on the symbolic meaning of mythological heroes and gods in information systems, how social values resonate in modern technology, and how these designations indicate the continuity of cultural heritage.
