Araştırmada, Friedrich Burgmüller’in  piyano eğitiminde kullanılan “25 Easy and Progressive Studies Op.100” adlı etüt kitabının incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Nitel bir çalışma olan bu araştırmada veriler doküman inceleme yoluyla toplanmıştır. Toplanan veriler içerik analizi yöntemi ile analiz edilmiştir. İncelenen metodun içerik analizlerinin yapılabilmesi amacı ile araştırmacılar tarafından “Etüt Kitabı Analiz Formu” oluşturulmuştur. Bu formun oluşturulmasında alanyazında yapılan benzer çalışmalar taranmış ve veri toplama araçları incelenmiştir. Yapılan analiz sonucunda elde edilen veriler kategoriler şeklinde verilmiştir. Kitapta yer alan 25 etüt içerdiği ölçü birimi, tonalite, hız terimleri, sağ ve sol el teknik kazanımlar, müzikal ifadeler incelenmiş ve yapılan analizler sonucunda elde edilen veriler yüzdelik dağılımları ile birlikte verilmiştir. Etütler ağırlıklı olarak Do majör ve Sol majör temel tonlarda yazılmış olmasıyla birlikte bir, iki ve üç bemol veya diyeze kadar değiştireç alan majör ve minör tonlariteleri içerdiği, 4/4’lük ölçü birimi kullanıldığı, en fazla Allegro Moderato hız terimine yer verildiği görülmüştür. Sağ el ve sol el tekniklerde bakıldığında ise en çok kullanılan tekniklerin Legato, El Pozisyon Değişimi, Alt Parmak Geçişi, Üst Parmak Geçişi  olduğu belirlenmiştir. Müzikal ifadeler açısından ise toplam 41 farklı müzikal ifade kullanıldığı tespit edilmiş, dolayısıyla etütlerin oldukça zengin ve çeşitli müzikal ifadelere yer verilmiş olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Ayrıca etüt kitabında başlangıçta daha kolay etütler, ardından zorluk derecesi artan etütler yer aldığı tespit edilmiştir. Her bir etüdün kendini tanımlayan isminin olması başka etütlerde alışılagelmiş kuru ve mekanik etüt olma özelliğin dışına taşıdığını, öğrencinin bir duyguyu, ortamı, özelliği veya nesneyi yansıtmaya yönlendiren, hayal gücünü de tetikleyerek şarkı söyler gibi güzel çalmaya, özendiren bir yanı olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Burgmüller’in etütlerinin teknik çalışma hedeflerinin olmasının yanısıra, ses kalitesine ve müzikal ifadelere özen gösterilmesini gerektirirdiği tespit edilmiştir.

The aim of this research was to analyse Friedrich Burgmüller's "25 Easy and Progressive Studies Op.100" book used in piano education. In this qualitative study, the data was collected through document analysis. The collected data was analyzed by content analysis method. The "Etude Book Analysis Form" was prepared by the researchers in order to conduct content analysis of the examined book. In the preparation of this form, data collection tools were examined in the related literature. The data obtained as a result of the analysis are given in categories. The 25 piano studies’ measurment units, tonality, speed terms, right and left hand technical purchases, musical expressions were examined and were shown with the percentage distributions obtained as a result of the analysis. Etudes were written mainly in C major and G major basic tones also major and minor tones that take one, two and three flats or sharps were includedi, Allegro Moderato was the mos used speed term, 4/4 measurement units were the most used measurment unit. While Legato, Hand Position Change, Lower Finger Crossing, Upper Finger Crossing were determined to be the most used in the right hand and left hand techniques. In terms of musical expressions, it was determined that a total of 41 different musical expressions were used, and it was concluded that the following etudes included very rich and diverse musical expressions. In addition, it has been determined that the study types included easier studies in the beginning, and studies with increasing difficulty at the end. The fact that each etude has a name to use itself differs from a dry and mechanical etude features, which is quite common in other piano study books. In this way the students have a side that directs them to reflect an emotion, environment, feature or object, triggers their imagination and encourages them to play beautifully like singing a song. It has been determined that the technical study objectives of Op. 100 Burgmüller's etudes require reflection on the result, attention to sound quality and musical expression.
