Elit sporcu; başarılı, seçkin, üst düzey performans sergileyen sporcu olarak adlandırılmaktadır. Diğer yandan lakayıt kelime anlamıyla umursamaz, ilgisiz olarak tanımlanmaktadır Sporcunun en doğruyu ben bilirim hissine kapılması durumu; antrenörlerin önerilerini dikkate almaması, söylemleri umursamaması, hakem kararlarına ve rakip oyuncuya karşı kâle almayan tutumlar sergilemesine neden olmaktadır. Dolayısıyla bu çalışma elit sporcuların lakayıt davranış yönelimlerini inceleme amacını taşımaktadır. Bu çalışmanın yürütülmesi hususunda, Ondokuz Mayıs Üniversitesi Sosyal ve Beşeri Bilimler Etik Kurulu tarafınca 26/02/2021 tarihli 174 sayılı etik kurul kararı ile onay alınmıştır. Çalışma nitel araştırma yönteminin bir çeşidi olan Fenomenoloji modelindedir. Çalışma grubu 7 elit sporcu kapsamındadır. Veri toplama süreci, nitel araştırma veri toplama yöntemlerinin bir çeşidi olan internet (e-posta) aracılığıyla sağlanmıştır. Veri toplama süreci araştırmacılar tarafından hazırlanan yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formları aracılığıyla sağlanmıştır. Veriler Nvivo programına aktarılarak içerik analizi yöntemi ile çözümlenmiştir. Araştırma sonucuna göre elit sporcuların çoğunlukla müsabaka öncesi ve sırası dönemde antrenörlerinin önerilerini dikkate aldığı ancak bazı sporcuların (3 sporcu) bu süreçte agresif oldukları ve umursamaz tavırlar takındığı belirlenmiştir. Bunlara ilaveten sporcuların (4 sporcu) hakem kararlarına haksızlık yaşandığını düşündükleri durumlarda saygı duymadıkları, rakibe karşı genellikle olumlu tutumlar sergiledikleri tespit edilmektedir. Tüm bu bilgiler ışığında sporcuların; rakibi aldatıcı davranışların spor ahlakına uygun olmadığı ve hakemler yanlış karar verse bile gerekli mercilere başvuru yapılmasının daha doğru olduğu konusunda bilinçlendirilmesi gerekmektedir. Buna ek olarak, elit sporcuların örnek olmaları adına fair play ve spor ahlakı çerçevesinde hareket etmesi ve bu süreçte sporculara çeşitli eğitimlerin verilmesi önem arz etmektedir.

Elite athletes are successful and outstanding athletes who show high performance. On the other hand, the word nonchalant is defined as reckless and indifferent. Athletes’ getting the feeling that they know the best causes them not to take coaches’ suggestions into consideration and to show attitudes which do not respect the decisions of the referee and do not care about the opponent player. Therefore, the present study aims to examine the nonchalant behavior orientations of elite athletes. Approval was obtained with the 26/02/2021 dated and 174 numbered ethics committee decision of Ondokuz Mayıs University Social and Human Sciences Ethics Committee on the conduct of this study. The study has phenomenology model, which is a design of qualitative research model. The study group consists of 7 elite athletes. The study sample consists of 7 elite athletes. Data collection process was provided through the internet (e-mail), which is a qualitative research data collection method. Data collection process was provided through semi-structured interview forms prepared by the researchers. The obtained data were transferred to Nvivo program and analysed with content analysis method. As a result of the study, it was found that most of the elite athletes (3 athletes) took their coaches’ suggestions into consideration before and after competitions; however, some of the athletes were aggressive during this process and they showed reckless behaviors. In addition to these, it was found that athletes (4 athletes) did not respect the decisions of referees when they thought these decisions were unfair and they generally had positive attitudes towards opponents. In the light of all this information, athletes should be made aware that behaviors deceiving the opponent are not appropriate for sports ethics and that it is righter to apply to necessary authorities even if referees make the wrong decision. It is also important that elite athletes should act within the context of fair play and the moral of sports in order to set examples and that various trainings should be given to athletes during this process.
