Bu irdelemede, yapılandırmacı anlayış çerçevesinde yeniden hazırlanan Sosyal Bilgiler dersi öğretim programının öğretim sürecindeki mevcut durumu ve beklentileri karşılayıp karşılamadığı programın uygulama sürecindeki önemli bir basamağı olan öğretmen görüşleri doğrultusunda ortaya çıkarmak hedeflenmektedir. Çalışmanın verilerinin toplanmasında tarama modeli kullanılmıştır. Bu çalışmada kullanılan anket formu, şahsi bilgilerle alakalı sekiz soruyla Sosyal Bilgiler dersi öğretim programının öğelerine yönelik kırk beş sorudan oluşmaktadır. Bu çalışmanın verileri, 2017-2018 Eğitim-Öğretim yılında Türkiye geneli devlet ortaokullarda çalışmakta olan 333 Sosyal Bilgiler öğretmeninden toplandı. SPSS 22.0 paket programında toplanan veriler değerlendirilmiş, aritmetik ortalama, standart sapma, frekans ve yüzde testleri ile analiz edildi. Ayrıca katılımcılar bazında verilen cevapların bağımsız değişkenlere göre ilişkisini belirlemek amacıyla ki kare testi ve çapraz tablo çözümleme yapılmıştır. Araştırma sürecinde elde edilen bulgular sonuç bölümünde tartışılmıştır. Araştırma sonuçlarına göre öğretmenlerin eğitim programında kazanım, içerik, uygulama, değerlendirme basamaklarında genel olarak beklentileri karşılama sonuçları olumlu bulunmakla birlikte, öğretmenlere öğretim programı ile ilgili belirli aralıklarla seminerler yapılması yeni program hazırlanma aşamasında program basamaklarının birbirinden bağımsız düşünülmemesi gibi beklentiler dile getirilmiştir..

In this research, it is aimed to reveal if the curriculum of the Social Studies course, which has been reconstructed within the framework of constructivist approach, meets the current situation and expectations in the teaching process or not, in accordance with the teachers' views, which is an important step in the implementation process of the program. The method used to collect the data of the study is the screening model. The questionnaire used in this study consisted of eight questions about personal information and forty-five questions about the elements of the Social Studies course curriculum. The data of this study were collected from 333 social studies teachers working at the public secondary schools in Turkey during the 2017-2018 Academic Year. The obtained data were evaluated by SPSS 22.0 package program and analyzed with arithmetic mean, standard deviation, frequency and percentage tests. Also, the square test and cross table analysis were performed in order to determine the relation of the answers given by the participants according to the independent variables. The findings obtained during the research process were discussed in the conclusion section. According to the results of the research, it is seen that the results of meeting the expectations of the teachers in the education, content, application and evaluation stages are positive; however, some expectations are expressed such as conducting seminars to teachers on curriculum at regular intervals and not considering the program steps independent from each other during the preparation of the new program.
