Bu çalışmadaki amaç, üniversitelerin bütün bölümlerinde okutulan Türk Dili dersine yönelik algıları tespit etmek, dersle ilgili sorunları incelemek, elde edilen verileri analiz edip tartışmak ve sonuca gitmektir. Problem: Bologna Süreci’nde üniversitelerin bütün bölümlerinde Türk Dili dersi okutulmalı mıdır? Türk Dili dersleri uzaktan eğitim yöntemi ile Genel Ağ üzerinden verilebilir mi? Okutulan Türk Dili derslerinin verimlilik düzeyi nedir? Mevcut Türk Dili ders içerikleri güncellenmeli midir? Bu çalışmada karma yöntem kullanılmıştır. Geliştirilen anket öğrencilere uygulanıp veriler toplanmıştır. Ayrıca akademisyenlerle yapılan mülakatlarda görüşme tutanakları tutulmuştur. Her iki kaynaktan elde edilen veriler bütüncül bir yaklaşımla analiz edilmiş, bulgulanmış, tartışılmış ve sonuca gidilmiştir. Katılımcılar, Türk Dili dersini örgün ve uzaktan eğitim yöntemiyle almış toplam 1123 öğrenci ile araştırmaya katılan 32 akademisyenden oluşmaktadır. Araştırmada elde edilen sonuca göre üniversitelerin bütün bölümlerinde verilen Türk Dili dersi okutulmaya devam edilmelidir. Türk Dili dersini alan öğrencilerden çoğu dersin kendileri için dersin yararlı olduğunu belirtmiştir. Bu dersin uzaktan eğitim yöntemiyle Genel Ağ üzerinden verilmesi uygun görülmemiştir. Türk Dili dersi bir ihtiyaçtan doğmuştur ki 1981'de zorunlu olmadan önce de bazı üniversiteler tarafından okutulmuştur. Bu ihtiyaç bugün daha da artmıştır. Bu sebeple Türk Dili dersi yapılandırmacı eğitim anlayışı ve yeni içeriğiyle uzaktan eğitimle değil, örgün olarak yüz yüze yapılmalıdır. Çünkü hangi meslekten olursa olsun, dilsel, iletişimsel becerilerini geliştirmeyen bireylerin iş veya akademik hayatında başarılı olması mümkün değildir.

The aim of this study is to determine the perceptions of the Turkish language course which is taught in all the departments of the universities, if there are some problems about the course, to investigate them, and then to analyse the obtained data and discuss, the light of it to come to a conclusion. Turkish lessons be taught in all parts of universities, in The Bologna Process? Can Turkish lessons be taught via distance education via internet? What is the level of productivity of Turkish Language lessons taught? Should current Turkish language course contents be updated? This is a mixed method study. The developed questionnaire was applied to students and the data was collected. In addition, during the interviews with the academicians, interviews minutes were kept. The data from both sources have been analysed, detected, discussed and concluded in a holistic approach. The study group consisted of a total of 1123 students who took Turkish language course through formal and distance education method and 32 academicians who participated in the research. According to the results obtained in the research, Turkish language lesson given in all the departments of the universities should be continued to be taught. This lesson is not considered appropriate to be given via internet with using distance education technique. Most of the students who took the Turkish Language course stated that the course is useful for them. The exam Turkish language course content should be revised and reorganized using constructivist education method. Turkish Language course was born of a need and it was taught by some universities before it was enacted in 1981. This need has increased today. Therefore, Turkish Language course should be given face to face in a formal education environment with a new understanding and content, not with online education model. Because no matter what their jobs are, it is not possible for the individuals who do not develop their linguistic skills to be successful in business or academic life.
