Değişen ve gelişen bilişim teknolojisi günümüz eğitim alanının vazgeçilmez materyali haline gelmiştir. Eğitim öğretim süreci içinde sosyal bilgiler derslerinde kullanılacak olan bilgisayar temelli bilişim teknolojilerinin başında ise dersin kazanımlarına ulaşmada öğrencilerin ilgisini çeken sanal tur teknolojisi gelmektedir. Sanal tur uygulamalarını sosyal bilgiler dersinin hedeflerine hizmet edecek şekilde tasarlamak, uygulamaya koymak ve etkililiğini değerlendirmek hem kullanılan teknolojinin etkililiğini arttıracak hem de dersin kazanımlarının öğrenci için daha etkili bir şekilde kazanılmasını sağlayacaktır. Sosyal bilgiler ders konularını öğrencilere daha etkili, kalıcı, zevkli ve renkli sunum olanağı sağlayan sanal tur teknolojisi öğrenci merkezli etkinliklerle öğrenme öğretme sürecini daha verimli hale getirmektedir. Yapılan çalışmanın temel amacı, sosyal bilgiler öğretiminde sanal tur uygulamalarının etkisini değerlendirmektir. Çalışmadaki sanal tur uygulamalarının etkisini değerlendirebilmek adına 7. sınıf sosyal bilgiler dersindeki, kültür ve miras öğrenme alanında, Türk tarihinde yolculuk ünitesi ele alınmıştır. Çalışmada amaca ulaşmak için deneysel yöntem kullanılmıştır. Araştırmada öğrencilerin sanal tur uygulamalarına ilişkin akademik başarılarını ölçmek amaçlı deney ve kontrol grubuna ön test ve son test olmak üzere akademik başarı ölçeği uygulanmıştır. Uygulanan akademik başarı ölçeği sosyal bilgiler kazanımlarına uygun olması için milli eğitim bakanlığının kazanım testlerinden seçilen 20 adet çoktan seçmeli sorudan oluşmaktadır. Toplanan veriler analiz SPSS 21 programında istatistiksel verilere dönüştürülerek bulguları ortaya konmuş ve sonuçlandırılmıştır.

Changing and evolving information technology has become the indispensable material of today's education field. At the beginning of the computer-based information technologies that will be used in the social studies courses within the education process, the virtual tour technology which attracts the students' attention comes to the students. Designing, implementing and evaluating virtual tour applications in a way to serve the objectives of social studies course will increase both the effectiveness of the technology used and the achievement of the course gains in a more effective way for the student. Virtual tour technology, which provides students with a more effective, lasting, enjoyable and colorful presentation of social studies course subjects, makes the learning teaching process more efficient with student centered activities. The main purpose of this study is to evaluate the effect of virtual tour applications in social studies teaching. In order to evaluate the effect of virtual tour applications in the study, in the field of cultural and heritage learning in the 7th grade social studies lesson, the travel unit in Turkish history is discussed. The experimental method was used to reach the goal. In the research, the academic achievement scale was applied to the experimental and control groups as a pre-test and post-test, in order to measure the academic success of the students on virtual tour applications. The academic achievement scale consisted of 20 multiple choice questions selected from the Ministry of National Education's achievement tests in order to be eligible for social studies. The collected data were converted to statistical data in SPSS 21 program.
