Bu araştırmanın amacı ortaokul 5.sınıf öğrencilerinde televizyon ve çizgi film izleme tutumları ile saldırganlık eğilimlerinin ilişkisini incelemektir. Bu araştırma ilişkisel tarama modelinde nicel bir çalışmadır. Araştırma evrenini, İstanbul ili Esenler ilçesine bağlı 2012-2013 öğretim yılında öğrenim hizmeti sunan resmi ortaokullar; araştırmanın örneklemini ise İstanbul ili Esenler İlçesinde 3 resmi okulun 5. sınıflarında öğrenim gören ve tesadüfi örneklem yoluyla seçilen 300 öğrenci oluşmaktadır. Verilerin elde edilmesinde araştırmacı tarafından hazırlanan “Kişisel Bilgi Formu ve “Anket” kullanılmıştır. Sınıf ortamında ve öğretmen gözetiminde yapılan anket uygulaması sırasında da, öğrencilerin anket sorularını doğru anlamaları amacıyla yönerge ve sözlü olarak açıklamalar yapılmıştır. Elde edilen veriler SPSS Programıyla analiz edilmiştir. Katılımcıların saldırganlık düzeylerinin, tv izleme sürelerine göre ne derece farklılaşıp farklılaşmadığını bulmak için One-Way-Anova Analizi yapılmış ve istatistiki açıdan güçlü bir anlamlılık elde edilmiştir (p=.000). 6 Saatten fazla televizyon izleyen öğrencilerin saldırganlıkları, diğer gruplardan anlamlı derecede daha yüksek bulunmuştur. Katılımcıların çizgi film kahramanıyla tanışmış olsaydınız ne söylemek istersiniz?” sorusuna verilen cevaplarının analizde de “her olayda sizin gibi davranmak istiyorum” diyenlerin saldırganlık düzeyleri, “sizin hayranınızım”,” sizi her izlediğimde yerinizde olmak isterim” diyen öğrencilerden anlamlı derecede daha yüksek çıkmıştır.

The aim of this research is to examine the relationship between television and cartoon watching and aggression tendencies in the 5th grade students of secondary school. This research is a quantitative study in the relational screening model. The research population consists of the official secondary schools in Esenler province of İstanbul in the 2012-2013 academic year; the sample of the research consists of 300 students selected randomly from the 5th grade of 3 official schools in the province of Esenler. "Demographic Information Form" and "Questionnaire" prepared by the researcher were used for obtaining the data. During the administration process of the questionnaire conducted in the classroom environment and under teacher supervision, instruction and verbal explanations were made in order to make students understand the questionnaire correctly. The obtained data were analyzed by SPSS program. One-Way-Anova Analysis was conducted to find out how much the aggressiveness of the participants differed according to the duration of TV watching and a strong statistical significance was obtained (p = .000). The aggressiveness of students who watch more than 6 hours of television was found significantly higher than the other groups. In the analysis of the answers given in participants' response to the question "What would you like to say if you have met the cartoon characters?", The aggressiveness levels of those who say "I want to behave like you in every event" are significantly higher than students who say "I am your fan" and "I want to be in your shoes every time I watch
