During the period of the Eastern Roman Empire, the Anatolian lands became important points of political, economic, cultural, military and religious connection due to their geographical and human characteristics. The roads from the west have advanced eastward through Anatolia. In the same way, the shortest roads passing from north to south pass through Anatolia. In the 4th century AD, after the declaration of the Eastern Roman Emperor Constantine as the official religion of Christianity, the Anatolian lands became one of the most important centers of the faith journey. Prior to the spreading of Christian faith is from the west to North and the latter is, on the contrary of the first direction route, from the west and the north toward the east. Holy Virgin and most of the saints and saints, who played a significant role in the spread of Christianity religion, came to Anatolia and lived there. Visiting these places on the roads of Christian faith and doing certain rituals is one of the requirements of being a pilgrim. In the end, these roads reach the city of Jerusalem, the most important religious center in terms of the place where Jesus was born and died. In this article, pilgrimage centers in Anatolia on this belief route passing through Anatolia and going to Jerusalem were discussed. These places are generally located on the main axes where the Roman official road passes, in terms of their geographical location. At the same time, the population density is high, in parallel with the construction is more places. Since antiquity, these cities became cultural, social, economic and religious centers of attraction due to their various features. However, nowadays, a large majority can not protect the historical fabric for various reasons.
