Ortadoğu, tek bir ırk, dil veya dinden ziyade, geniş bir yamalı bohçayı andıran yapısı ile bugüne kadar olduğu gibi bundan sonra da birçok çatışmaya sahne olmaya namzettir. Ortadoğu’nun yerli halklarından birisi olan Kürtler, bölge halkları arasında dördüncü büyük nüfus oranı ile göz ardı edilemeyecek bir dinamik oluşturmakta, bölgesel çatışmaların bazen içerisinde, bazen ise etkisinde kalarak her zaman kendilerinden söz ettirmektedirler. Bu çalışmada ne Kürt tarihinden ne de Kürtlerin tartışmalı kökenlerinden söz edilecektir. Hangi soydan, hangi boydan veya kültürden gelmiş ve dilleri hangi dil gurubundan türemiş olursa olsun, bugün gelinen noktada, sadece bölgesel değil, çok geniş bir coğrafyada önemsenen güvenlik denkleminin bir bilineni durumundadırlar. Bilinmeyen değil, bilinenidirler zira talep ve hedeflerini hiçbir zaman saklamamışlardır. Kürtlerin aynı bölgede yaşadıkları farklı sosyal yapılar, dört ülke içerisindeki feodal köklerinin ilişkileri, Kürtlerin bölgesel bir dinamik olarak bölge dışındaki güçlerin amaçlarına ne kadar hizmet edebileceklerinin de bir göstergesi olmuştur. Burada incelenecek husus, aynı bölgede yaşayan Kürtlerin, kimlik arayışının ötesindeki varlık mücadelelerinde nihai hedefleri olarak kendi bağımsız devletlerini kurmak dışında, bölge barışına hizmet edecek devlet yapıları içerisinde nasıl yer alabilecekleri olacaktır.

The Middle East will witness many conflicts rather than a single race, language or religion in the future as it has been until now due to its condition of being a wide rag bag. The Kurds, one of the indigenous peoples of this region, constitute a dynamic that cannot be ignored with its fourth largest population among the peoples of the region, and they are always mentioned sometimes by remaining in regional conflicts, sometimes under the influence of them. In this study, neither the Kurdish history nor the controversial origins of the Kurds will be mentioned. No matter what lineage, tribe or culture they have come from, and what language family their language has been derived from, at this point, they are the only known in the important safety equation not only in the region but also in a large geographical area. They are the known not the unknown because they have never hidden their demands and goals. The different social structures in which the Kurds lived in the same region, the relationships between the feudal roots in the four countries have become the indicators of how much the Kurds can serve as a regional dynamic for the purposes of forces outside the region. The point to be discussed here should be how and why the Kurds living in the same region use different methods for their struggle for existence beyond the identity seek and how much they can approach owning their own country which is their ultimate goal by using which method.
