Amatör çocuk koroları genel müzik eğitiminin en zevkli ve etkili bir şekilde verilebildiği ortamlardır. Genel müzik eğitiminin yaygınlaşmasına katkıda bulunurken ülke müzik kültürünün gelişmesini sağlayıcı bir görev de üstlenirler. Bu araştırma, amatör çocuk korolarındaki öğrencilerin Kodaly Yöntemi içerisinde yer alan uygulamalara ilişkin görüşlerinin tespit edilmesi, amatör çocuk korolarında uygulanabilecek yöntemlerin geliştirilmesi ve bu alana ilgi duyanlara, kullanılan yöntemlerin ışık tutması amacını taşımaktadır. Ayrıca öğrencilerin uygulamalar hakkındaki görüşlerinin alınarak bu bilgiler doğrultusunda ileride yapılacak çalışmaların daha etkili olması amaçlanmaktadır. Buna dayalı olarak araştırmada, amatör çocuk korolarında görev alan çocukların, koro çalışmalarında gerçekleştirilen ve Kodaly Yönteminde kullanılan, yöntemin temelini oluşturan çeşitli uygulamaları nasıl bulduklarına yönelik değerlendirmeleri ele alınmıştır. Nitel araştırma yöntemlerine dayalı olarak yürütülen çalışmada çocukların düzeyleri dikkate alınarak kısa bir anket formu oluşturulmuş ve bu anket ile toplanan veriler işlenerek sonuca ulaşılmıştır. Anket formu aralarında 9-14 yaş arasında bulunan çocuklardan oluşan koro üyelerine uygulanacağı için sorular bir ön değerlendirmeden geçirilmiş ve anlaşılması güç sorular yeniden düzenlenmiştir. Ayrıca bir açık uçlu soru ile de görüşlerini daha ayrıntılı değerlendirmelerine fırsat sunulmuştur. Elde edilen veriler nitel araştırma tekniklerine dayalı olarak içerik analizi de yapılarak çözümlenmeye çalışılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda öğrencilerin el işaretleri, ritim çalışmaları, iki sesli çalışmalar ve kanon çalışmaları konusundaki görüşlerine yer verilmiş, Kodaly Yöntemi kapsamında yapılan çalışmaları eğlenceli, öğretici ve yararlı buldukları anlaşılmıştır.

Amateur children's choirs are the most enjoyable and effective environment for giving general music education. While contributing to pervading of general music education, it also plays a leading role in the development of country’s music culture. The purpose of this research is to determine the opinions of the students in the amateur children's chorus about the practices in the Kodaly Method, to develop the methods that can be applied in amateur choruses and to shed light on the methods used by those who are interested in this area. It is also aimed to make the studies efficiently by taking the opinions of the students about the practices. Based on this, in the study, the evaluations of the children who took part in the amateur children's chorus towards how they find various implementations that make up the basis of the method which is used in choir studies and contents of Kodaly Method were examined. In the study conducted based on qualitative research methods, a short questionnaire form was prepared to take into account the children's level and the collected data were processed by this questionnaire. Because the questionnaire was applied to the members of the chorus consisting of children between the ages of 9 and 14, the questions were passed through a preliminary assessment and the difficult questions were rearranged. In addition, an open-ended question has given the opportunity to further evaluate their views. The obtained data were tried to be analyzed by making a content analysis based on qualitative research techniques. As a result of the research, students' opinions about hand signs, rhythm exercises, two-voice exercises and canon exercises were given and it was understood that they find the studies made within the scope of Kodaly Method fun, instructive and useful.
