Dede Korkut Hikâyeleri Türk kültür tarihinde iz bırakan eserlerden biridir. Bu araştırmada, Dede Korkut Hikâyelerinin Sosyal bilgiler öğretim programında yer alan değerler açısından analiz edilmesi amaçlanmaktadır. Araştırmada veri toplama aracı olarak Ergin (2015) tarafından düzenlenen Dede Korkut Kitabı’ndan yararlanılmıştır. Araştırmanın veri toplama sürecinde, veriler doküman incelemesi ile toplanırken; verilerin analizinde nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden doküman analizi tekniği kullanılmıştır. Bu yönüyle araştırma betimsel bir çalışmadır. Araştırmadan elde edilen sonuçlara göre Dede Korkut Hikâyeleri içinde en çok aile birliğine önem verme, estetik, vatanseverlik ve yardımseverlik değerlerine rastlanırken; en az ise bağımsızlık, özgürlük, eşitlik ve tasarruf değerlerinin yer aldığı görülmektedir. Araştırmanın sonuçları dikkate alındığında, Dede Korkut Hikâyelerinde yer alan değerlerin, toplumsal hayatı düzenleyen unsurlar olduğu anlaşılmaktadır. Bu açıdan çalışmanın sonuçlarının önemli olduğu düşünülmektedir.
Dede Korkut Stories is one of the works that left a mark in Turkish culture history. In this research, it is aimed to analyze Dede Korkut Stories from the point of view of the values in social studies curriculum. Dede Korkut Book organized by Ergin (2015) was used as a data collection tool in the research. During the data collection process of the research, the data are collected by examining the documents; In the analysis of data, document analysis technique was used as qualitative research methods. In this respect, research is a descriptive study. According to the results obtained from the research, while the values of giving importance to family unity, aesthetics, patriotism and helpfulness are found in Dede Korkut Stories; at least the values of independence, freedom, equality and saving are seen to take place. When the results of the research are taken into consideration, it is understood that the values in Dede Korkut Stories are social life regulating elements. In this respect, the results of the study are thought to be important.
