Bilimsel ve teknolojik bilginin geldiği düzey ve üretilen araç gereçler insan eylemi üzerinde bir takım sakıncalar ortaya çıkarmıştır. Sahip olunan bilgi düzeyi ile elde edilen bu durum ise içinde yaşadığımız dünyanın sosyal, bilimsel ve teknolojik alanlarının risk toplumu olarak teorileştirilmesine neden olmuştur. Mevcut toplumsal yapıya dayanan risk toplumu analizi, insanlığın geleceğe dair belirsizliklerle ve tehlikelerle karşı karşıya olduğu iddiasına dayanmaktadır. Modern sonrası dönemin insanlık durumunu betimlemeye çalışan risk toplumu teorisi, mevcut halin eleştirisini sunarken, verili durumdan kurtulabilmenin olanaklı olduğu iddiasını da taşıyor. Risk toplumu teorisi Ulrick Beck tarafından ortaya atıldıktan sonra dünya çağında büyük ilgi görmüştür. Risk toplumu kavramsallaştırmasının bu derece ilgi görmesinin temel nedeni içinde yaşanılan dünyanın bir çözümlemesine dayanması ve risk toplumu diye adlandırılan toplumsal koşullar içindeki öznenin durumunu derinden etkilemesidir. Bu çalışma Ulrick Beck’in Risk Toplumu teorisi üzerinden, korku kültürü (Furedi, 2001) ve güven kavramları üzerinden öznenin konumunu tartışmayı amaçlamaktadır. Bu tartışma ise U. Beck’in risk toplumu analizinde yer alan belirsizlik kavramının bireyde ve toplumsal yapıda nasıl bir etki yarattığı üzerinden gerçekleştirilecektir. Modernite özneye sunduğu bir takım imkanlar, günümüzde öznenin yaşamını tehdit eder hale gelmiştir. Korku durumunun hakim olduğu öznede yeni alternatif sistem arayışları ise belirsizlik taşıdığı için risklidir. Bu durum da özneyi eylemsizliğe itmektedir. Toplumu bekleyen en büyük risk ise çaresiz bir özne ve kaygı içinde toplumdur.

The level scientific and technological knowledge reached and produced equipment have some negative effects on human action. The situation obtained with this knowledge level caused social, scientific and technological areas of this world we live to be theorized as risk society. Risk society analysis that is based on the current social structure, is based on the claim that humanity faces uncertainties and dangers about the future. Risk society theory that tries to portray humanity situation of the postmodern era, while presenting criticism of the status quo, also carries the claim that it is possible to get rid of this situation. After risk society theory was brought up by Ulrick Beck, it draw significant attention throughout the world. The basic reason why risk society conceptualization draws such attention is that it is based on the analysis of world we live in and it deeply affects the situation of the subject located in social circumstances called risk society. This study aims to argue location of subject over fear culture(Furedi, 2001) and trust concepts and over Risk Society theory of Ulrick Beck. This argument will be performed over the what effects uncertainty concept in U. Beck’s risk society analysis induce on the individual and social structure. In our day, certain opportunities that modernity provides to the subject became something that threatens life of the subject. Because they carry uncertainties, searching for new alternative systems is risky in the subject over which fear situation rules. And this situation pushes the subject to inactivity. Greatest risk for the society is a desperate subject and an anxious society.
