Bu araştırma, okul öncesi eğitim alan 5-6 yaş grubu çocukların velilerinin okula hazırbulunuşluk davranışları ve okul olgunluğu ile ilgili görüşlerini belirlemek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Araştırma Mersin il merkezi Yenişehir ilçesindeki bağımsız bir anaokuluna devam eden 5-6 yaş grubu çocukların ebeveynleriyle yürütülmüştür. Bu doğrultuda araştırmaya katılmaya gönüllü 18 ebeveyn ile çalışılmıştır. Araştırmada, veri toplama araçlarından tarama modelleri içinden anket tekniği seçilmiştir. Anket olarak Ülkü (2007) tarafından geliştirilmiş olan "Velilerin ve Öğretmenlerinin Çocukların Okul Olgunlukları Hakkındaki Görüşleri Anketi" kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sonunda, okula hazır bulunuşlukla ilgili davranışların çocuğun okul olgunluğu (okul hazırbulunuşluğu) ile ilişkisinin önem sırasına göre koyulmasına ilişkin veriler değerlendirildiğinde, 20 maddeden 10 maddenin önemli veya çok önemli olduğu, 5 maddeyle ilgili olarak hiç önemli değil cevabı verildiği görülmüştür. Okul olgunluğu için önemli olduğunu düşünülen ifadelere ilişkin frekans ve yüzde değerleri değerlendirildiğinde 29 maddeden 14'ü tüm ebeveynler tarafından önemli bulunmuştur. Öntest ve son test arasında ise anlamlı farklılık bulunmamıştır.
This research was conducted to determine the opinions of the parents of the children of 5-6 age group who were receiving pre-school education about readiness to school and school age. The study was carried out by the parents of children in the age group of 5-6 who continue to an independent kindergarten in Mersin province center Yenişehir district. In this direction, 18 parents who volunteered to participate in the research were employed. In the study, questionnaire was chosen among the survey models from data collection tools. As a questionnaire, "Velilerin and Teachers' Questionnaire of Children's Opinions about School Maturity" developed by Ülkü (2007) was used. At the end of the study, it was seen that, when evaluating the behaviors related to readiness to the school according to the order of importance of the relation with the school age (school readiness), it is seen that 10 items from 20 items are important or very important. When frequency and percentage values of expressions considered important for school maturity were evaluated, 14 of 29 items were found significant by all parents. There was no significant difference between pretest and posttest.
