Dilin bir temsiliyet olma meselesi, hem söz hem de yazıyı içerir; dilbilimsel ve göstergebilimsel olarak anlamı araştırır. Mimarlıkta temsil ise, hem biçimsel hem de anlamsal referanslara işaret eden bir olgudur; hem metinler hem de binalar/yapılar üzerinden tartışılabilir. Bu bağlamda bu çalışmanın konusu, dil ve mimarlık arasındaki ilişkiye yeni bir boyut kazandırmayı esas almaktadır. Söz konusu boyut, mimarlığın dili ve temsiliyet arasındaki ilişkinin sorgulanması yoluyla ve Atina’da yer alan Yeni Akropol Müzesi örneği üzerinden ortaya konmaktadır. Mimarlık-dil-temsiliyet arasındaki ilişki üzerinden kurgulanan ve Atina Akropol Müzesi için bir yeniden okuma önerisi olarak geliştirilen model; Prolog, Monolog, Diyalog ve Epilog dörtlüsü bağlamında ele alınmıştır. Prolog, mimarlık ve temsil arasında kurulan olası ilişkileri açıklarken, mimarlıkta yeniden okuma konusunu gündeme getirmektedir. Monolog, yeniden okuma örneği olarak seçilen Yeni Akropol Müzesi’nin tarihsel süreci boyunca ele alınış biçimlerini ve tanıtımını esas almaktadır. Diyalog, Yeni Akropol Müzesi’nin temsiliyet dilini bir kitap ve onun alt başlıkları yoluyla ortaya koymaktadır. Epilog ise, temsiliyet dili ve bina okuma arasındaki ilişkinin çeşitlenmesi üzerine değerlendirmelere yer vermektedir. Sonuç olarak, mimarlık ve aynı zamanda önemli kavramsal üretimler olarak binalar arasındaki ilişkinin kuramsal düzeyde çeşitlenmesine imkân veren bu çalışma, söz konusu çeşitlenmenin sonsuz sayıda ve biçimde yapılabileceğinin bir göstergesi olmayı hedeflemiştir.

The matter of language being a representation includes both words and writing; searches meaning linguistically and semiotically. Representation in architecture in case is a phenomenon that points to both formal and semantic references; both texts and buildings/structures. In this context, the subject of this study is to give a new dimension to the relationship between language and architecture. This dimension is based on the question of the relationship between the language and the representation of architecture over the example of New Acropolis Museum in Athens. The model, which is based on the relation between architecture-language-representation and developed as a re-reading proposal for New Acropolis Museum in Athens in the context of Prologue, Monologue, Dialogue and Epilogue quartet. The prolog part describes the possible connections between architecture and representation, proposing the issue of re-reading in architecture on the agenda. The monologue part is based on the historical process and introducing of the New Acropolis Museum, which has been selected as a re-reading example. Dialogue part reveals the representative language of the New Acropolis Museum through a book and its subheadings. And Epilog part on the other hand, includes evaluations of the diversity of the relationship between the representational language and the building reading. In conclusion, this study, which allows the theoretical level of the relationship between architecture and buildings as important conceptual productions, aims to be an indicator that the diversity can be done in infinite numbers and forms.
