Türkçe eğitiminde kazandırılması gereken ana beceriler; dinleme, anlama, konuşma, okuma, yazma olarak belirlenmiştir. Bu becerileri kazandırabilmek için, üst seviyede dil hâkimiyetinin de kazandırılması gerekir. Bütün bunlar için, klasik uygulama ve yöntemlerle yapılan terime dayalı dil bilgisi öğretimi yerine, beceri alanlarıyla ilişkilendirilmiş anlama dayalı bir dil bilgisi eğitim ve öğretimi tercih edilmesi yerinde olur. Bu tür bir yaklaşımda, anlamdan terime doğru hareketle, hem cümlenin anlam boyutu algılanmış ve kavranmış, hem de anlam boyutu içinde yer alan birimlerin terim adları öğrenilmiş olur. Dil bilgisi konularından biri olan cümle tahlili konusunun, anlamdan terime doğru bir yaklaşımla işlenmesi, temel ve gelişmiş dil becerilerinin üst seviyede kazandırılmasını sağlarken, aynı zamanda anlam-terim ilişkilendirilmesini ve bağdaştırılmasını da mümkün kılmaktadır. Bu çalışmada nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden durum çalışması deseni kullanılmıştır. Araştırmada veriler doküman incelemesi tekniğiyle toplanmıştır. Bunun için iki farklı yayınevi tarafından hazırlanan ortaokul 8. sınıf Türkçe ders kitaplarındaki cümlenin ögeleri kazanımlarının verildiği altı metinde yer alan cümleler, önce anlamları göz önüne alınarak öbeklere ayrılmış ve her öbeğin anlam adı tespit edilmiş; daha sonra oluşturulmuş olan anlam adı tablosundan, cümlede tespit edilmiş olan öbeklerin, anlam adlarına karşılık gelen terim adları bulunmuştur. Böylece, öbeklerin anlam adları ve terim adlarının aynı zaman diliminde öğrenilmesinin mümkün olabileceğine işaret edilmiştir. Çalışmanın sonundaki tartışma ve öneriler bölümünde, eğitim öğretim kurumlarında okutulan dil bilgisi konularından biri olan cümlenin ögeleri konusunun, öbek-anlam ilişkisini ön plana çıkararak işlenmesinin, öğrencilerin dil becerilerinin üst seviyede gelişmesine, kendi iç dünyalarına, çevrelerine ve daha geniş olarak dünyaya bakış açılarına olumlu katkılarda bulunabileceği hususlarındaki görüşlere yer verilmiştir.

Basic skills to be imparted in Turkish language education are determined to be listening, comprehending, speaking, reading and writing. In order to impart these skills, higher level language mastery should be imparted. To this end, instead of term-based grammar instruction delivered through classic applications and methods, meaning-based grammar instruction and education linked to skill areas should be delivered. In such an approach, by moving from meaning towards term, both the meaning dimensions of sentences are perceived and understood and term names of the units involved in the meaning dimension are learned. Teaching of the subject of sentence analysis, one of the grammar subjects, by means of an approach from meaning towards term enables the inculcation of the basic and advanced language skills to a large degree and at the same time allows meaning-term association. The current study employed the case study design, one of the qualitative research methods. The data of the current study were collected through the document analysis method. For this purpose, the sentences in the six texts through which the objectives related to the elements of a sentence are intended to be achieved in the Turkish textbooks prepared by two different publishing houses for the secondary school eighth grade were first divided into phrases considering their meanings, then meaning name of each phrase was determined; after that from the meaning names table formed, term names of the phrases detected in the sentence corresponding the meaning names were found. In this way, it is pointed out that it can be possible to learn meaning names and term names of phrases simultaneously. In the discussions and suggestions section at the end of the study, it is argued that teaching of the subject of the elements of a sentence, one of the grammar subjects taught in formal educational institutions, by emphasizing phrase-meaning association can contribute to the development of students’ language skills to higher levels and their self-perception, perception of the world and environment.
