Çevre kelimesinin çok geniş bir kullanım alanı bulunmaktadır. Bu bağlamda çevre; bizim etrafımızı kuşatan, canlı-cansız tüm varlıklara verilen addır. Çevre, insanın hem kendisini etkilediği ve hem de kendisinden etkilendiği için sürekli değişime uğrayan canlı bir organizmadır. Bu nedenle çevre kelimesi, sadece doğal çevre ile sınırlandırılmayacak kadar da çeşitlidir. Çevreyi oluşturan her varlık, Allah’ın isim ve sıfatlarının birer aynası olarak kabul edildiği için çevre bilinci önemlidir. Tasavvuf kültürünün ele aldığı üç önemli konu bulunmaktadır. Bunlar Allah, kâinat ve insandır. Tasavvuf kültürü; Allah, kâinat ve insan arasında bir bütünlük kurar. Bu nedenle tasavvuf, aşkın ve bütünlüğün felsefesidir. İnsan, vahdet-i vücûd ekolüne mensup mutasavvıflar tarafından insan-ı kâmil görüşü bağlamında Allah Teâlâ’nın en yüksek derecede muhatabı ve ilahî isim-sıfatlarının tecellisidir. Bu bağlamda tasavvuf anlayışına göre, çevreyi teşkil eden canlı ve cansız, şuurlu ve şuursuz her varlık, Allah’ın ilahî isim ve sıfatlarının birer aynası olarak kabul edilmektedir. Çevreyi oluşturan her varlık, Allah’ın ilahî isim-sıfatlarının birer aynası ve yansıması olarak kabul edildiği için çevre kavramı tasavvufi açıdan çok değerlidir. Bu noktada tasavvufî kavramlar ve anlayış tarzı ile çevre bilinci arasında önemli bir bağ bulunmaktadır. Bu nedenle makalede tasavvufî kavramlar açısından tasavvuf kültüründe çevre bilinci ele alınmaktadır. Sonuç itibariyle tasavvufî kavramlardan takvâ, vecd, istikâmet, fakr, ittisâl, müşâhede, zühd ve uzlet, hikmet ve muhâsebe ile çevre bilinci arasında önemli bir anlamsal ilişki bulunmaktadır.

The word environment has a very wide area of usage. In this sense, environment is the name given to all living and stagnant entities surrounding us. Environment is a living organism that is constantly going through changes as man both affects it and is affected by it. Therefore, the word environment is also too variant to be limited to just the natural environment. Environmental awareness is important because every entity that forms the environment is regarded as a mirror of God's names and attributes. There are three important subjects embraced by the mystic culture. These are Allah, universe and man. Mystic culture establishes integrity between Allah, universe and man. Therefore, mysticism is the philosophy of love and integration. According to the Sufis belonging to the unity of existence school and in the concept of perfect human approach, man is the highest degree addressee of Allah and a manifestation of His divine names and titles. So in this sense, mysticism deems all living and stagnant, conscious and unconscious entities that constitute environment as a mirror of Allah’s divine names and titles. As each entity constituting the environment is deemed to be the mirror and reflection of Allah’s divine names and titles, the concept of environment is highly important in mysticism. At this point, it is worth saying that there is an important connection between mystic concepts and approach and environmental awareness. With this in mind, this article is discussing the environmental awareness in mystic culture, from a mystic concepts perspective. There is an important semantic connection between environmental awareness and the mystic concepts of piety, ecstasy, destination, destitution, joining, ability and observation, asceticism and seclusion, wisdom and accounting.
