Her insan kültürü, sosyal çevresi, bu çevrenin geri bildirimleri ve eğitim biçimi gibi birçok kaynaktan gelen bilgi yığınıyla karşılaşır. Bu bilgiler bilişsel bir sistem tarafından yorumlanır ve bireylerin çevresiyle uyumunu ve kendinde kaygı yaratan değişikliklere geliştirdiği tepkileri oluşturur. Kaygı ve kaygı ile başa çıkabilme becerisi kökenini, çocukluk yaşantısında verilen eğitimden, anne-baba, öğretmenler ve arkadaşlarla kurulan ilişkilerden alır. Bu bağlamda erken yaşlarda çocuklara verilen eğitim sürecinde çocukların hangi stratejileri kullanmaları gerektiğine dair telkinlerin belirlenmesi önemlidir. Kaygı ve stresle başa çıkma süreçleri incelendiğinde birçok kuram dikkati çekmektedir. Bu kuramların başında psikanalitik yaklaşımın kaygıyla baş etme stratejileri olarak bilinen savunma mekanizmaları gelmektedir. Bu araştırmanın amacı, ortaokullarda okutulan Türkçe ders kitaplarındaki metinlerde bulunan kahramanların sıklıkla yaşadıkları duygular ve psikanalitik yaklaşıma göre bu duygularla hangi baş etme stratejilerini kullandıklarını belirlemektir. Bu araştırmada 5, 6, 7 ve 8. sınıflara ait Türkçe ders kitaplarındaki toplam 12 metin incelenmiştir. Araştırmada incelenecek metinler öğrencilere görüş sorularak belirlenmiştir. Öğrencilerden 2016-2017 yılı içinde Türkçe ders kitabında yer alan ve en çok etkilendikleri üç metnin isimlerini yazmaları istenmiştir. Frekansı en yüksek olan bu metinlerde yer alan kahramanların, problem durumlarında kullandıkları stratejiler, psikanalitik yaklaşıma göre incelenmiştir. Araştırmada tarama modeli, verilerin analizinde ise betimsel analiz yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Sonuçlara göre hikâyelerde adı geçen kahramanlar sırasıyla en fazla “korku, üzüntü, öfke ve endişe” duygularını yaşamaktadır. Bu duygularla baş etme stratejileri ise yine sırasıyla “gerileme, fedakârlık, agresif davranış, baskılama, boyun eğme ve karşıt tepki geliştirme” olarak belirlenmiştir.

Every human being faces with a chunk of information coming from many sources such as culture, social environment, feedbacks from this environment and education type. This information is interpreted by a cognitive system and forms the adaptation of individuals to environment and the reactions they develop against changes that create anxiety in them. Anxiety and the ability to cope with anxiety are based on the education given in childhood and the relations established with parents, teachers, and friends. In this context, it is important to determine the suggestions about which strategies children should use in the educational process given to children at early ages. When the processes of coping with anxiety and stress are examined, many theories draw attention. Defense mechanisms known as the strategies of coping with the anxiety within the scope of the psychoanalytic approach are the primary one of these theories. The purpose of this study is to determine the emotions frequently experienced by the heroes in the texts in Turkish textbooks used in secondary schools and which strategies they use to cope with these emotions according to psychoanalytic approach. In this study, a total of 12 texts from Turkish textbooks for 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th grades were examined. The texts to be examined in the study were determined by asking opinions of the students. The students were asked to write the names of the three texts which were in Turkish textbook in 2016-2017 and influenced them the most. Strategies used by the heroes in these texts, which have the high frequency, for problem situations were examined according to the psychoanalytic approach. Survey model was used in the study and descriptive analysis method was used in the analysis of data. According to the results, the heroes mentioned in the stories mostly experienced the feelings of "fear, sadness, anger and anxiety", respectively. Strategies to cope with these feelings were determined as "regression, sacrifice, aggressive behavior, suppression, obedience and reaction formation", respectively.
