The main disagreement in Turkey-France relations is the issue of Turkey's membership to the European Union. Relations are generally shaped by France's approach to this issue. France does not want Turkey's full membership to the EU, worried that its position will be hurt. For this reason, France is using an unfavorable event in both countries as a means of creating an obstacle to membership in the EU, in the context of bilateral relations. In this context, the main problem areas of bilateral relations that France uses as vehicles are; The Armenian genocide claims, the Kurdish issue, the Arab Spring, and finally the July 15, 2016 coup initiative and the post-war period. In this study, it will be tried to show whether there is a change in relations between France and Turkey after the coup attempt of July 15, 2016, which is accepted as the breaking point of internal and external politics. In this context, the main topics that shape bilateral relations before July 15 will be examined and the effects of the July 15th, Turkey France relations will be evaluated. The Turkish-French relations to be examined in this context include the political, economic and cultural relations of the last decade. This decade period corresponds to the AK Party power in Turkey and Nicalos Sarkozy (2007-2012), François Hollande (2012-2017) and Emmanuel Macron (2017) in France.
