Çalışmada, öğretmenlerin cinsiyet rolleri ile ilgili görüşlerinin incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Araştırma, Milli Eğitim Bakanlığına bağlı ilk ve ortaokullarda görev yapan öğretmenlerin cinsiyet rolleri algılarının incelenmesini amaçlayan tarama (survey) modelinde bir çalışmadır. Tarama deseni, bir evren içinden seçilen bir örneklem üzerinde yapılan çalışmalar yoluyla evren genelindeki eğilim, tutum veya görüşlerin nicel veya nümerik olarak betimlenmesini sağlar. Çalışma grubunu, Kocaeli ili, Darıca ilçesinde Haziran dönemi seminer ve Milli Eğitim Bakanlığı, “Uzaktan Eğitim Programı” amacıyla toplanan 120 okul öncesi, ilkokul ve ortaokul öğretmeni oluşturmuştur. Araştırmaya katılan öğretmenlerin cinsiyet rollerine ilişkin görüşlerini belirlemek amacıyla araştırmacılar tarafından geliştirilen soru formu uygulanmıştır. Soru formunda, ev içinde ve dışında yapılan görevler/işler ve mesleklere yönelik toplam 8 açık uçlu soru yöneltilmiştir. Açık uçlu olarak hazırlanan sorular üç uzman görüşü ile son haline getirilmiştir. Öğretmenlerden elde edilen veriler SPSS ile değerlendirilmiştir. Öğretmenlerin her bir soruya verdikleri cevapların frekansları belirlenmiştir. Frekansı yüksek olan maddeler listelenerek, değerlendirilmiş ve yorumlanmıştır. Ev içinde/dışında yapılan görevler/işler ve meslekler ile ilgili sorular betimsel istatistikler aracılığı ile en çok belirtilenden en az belirtilene doğru listelenerek değerlendirilmiştir. Araştırmanın sonucunda, kadın ve erkek öğretmenlerin, ev içinde ve ev dışından yapılan görevler işler ile meslekler konularındaki cinsiyet rolleri algıları belirlenmiştir. Elde edilen sonuçlara göre, öğretmenlerin cinsiyet rollerine ilişkin görüşlerinin, genel olarak toplumun geleneksel cinsiyet rolleri doğrultusunda olduğu olduğu belirlenmiştir.

In the study, it was aimed to examine teachers' views about gender roles. This research is a study in a screening model aimed at examining the gender role perceptions of teachers working in primary and secondary schools affiliated to the Ministry of National Education. The scan pattern allows quantitative or numerical description of the tendency, attitude, or views in the universe through studies on a sample selected from within a universe. The working group formed 120 pre-school, primary and secondary school teachers gathered for the "Distance Education Program" in the June seminar and the Ministry of National Education in Darıca, Kocaeli. Questionnaires developed by the researchers were applied to determine the opinions of teachers participating in the research on. In the question form, a total of 8 open-ended questions were addressed for tasks / jobs and professions done inside and outside the home. The open-ended questions were finalized with three expert opinions. The data obtained from the teachers were evaluated with SPSS. The items with high frequency are listed, evaluated and interpreted. The frequencies of the answers the teachers gave to each question were determined. Questions related to duties / jobs and professions done inside / outside the home were evaluated by way of descriptive statistics, listing the most frequently indicated statement. As a result of the research, gender roles perceptions of male and female teachers, tasks in home and out of home and occupations were determined. According to the results obtained, it has been determined that teachers' views on gender roles are generally oriented towards the traditional gender roles of the society.
