Sufism emerges as a philosophical term that perceives the Islam from the point of view of philosophy and religion.Khoja Ahmed Yasawi -who was accepted as the founder of sufism- and his disciples pioneered the spread of Islam in Anatolia and Turkistan and they contributed to the formation of a worldview that was based upon tolerance.The role ofKhoja Ahmed Yasawi is highly significant in the formation of different groups that was called as Bektashi and Mevlevi. The aim of this research is to examine Lokman-iPerende and his relationships. Lokman-iPerende is to be accepted as the teacher of Haji Bektashi Veli who was the founder of Bektashi order.However it seems many contemporary followers of the belief are even unaware of his name. During the research we tried to investigate in detailfirst the relationship between Lokman-iPerende and Khoja Ahmed Yasawi and then Perende’s teachings toHaji Bektashi Veli.
