Çalışmanın amacı, Avrupa Konseyi Yabancı Diller İçin Ortak Başvuru Metninde yer alan okuma alanına ait kazanımları dikkate alarak, okuma becerisi öğretiminin değerlendirilmesinde yararlanılabilecek, yabancı dil olarak Türkçe öğrenen B düzeyindeki öğrencilerin okuduklarını anlama seviyelerini ölçebilecek geçerlik ve güvenirlik çalışması yapılmış “Yabancı Dil Olarak Türkçe Okuduğunu Anlama Başarı Testi (YDTOBT) geliştirmektir. Bu amaç doğrultusunda Ortak Başvuru Metninde yer alan okuma alanı kazanımlarına ait ölçülecek özellikler belirlenmiş, ulaşılacak hedef davranışlar doğrultusunda maddeler yazılarak gözden geçirilmiştir. Testin kapsam geçerliği için uzman görüşüne başvurulmuştur. Testte yer alan her bir maddenin ölçmek istediği beceriyi (okuduğunu anlama) ölçtüğüne ilişkin kanıt sağlamak ve bu yolla maddelerin geçerli olduğunu ispatlamak amacıyla madde-test korelasyonları (bi-serialkorelasyon katsayısı) hesaplanmıştır. Daha sonra ise test madddelerinin güçlük indeksleri belirlenmiştir. Soruların seçilmesinde güçlük indeksi 0.20 ile 0.80 arasında olmasına dikkat edilmiştir. 1. madde hariç tüm maddelerin madde-test korelasyonlarının 0.30’un üzerinde olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Bu durumda tüm maddelerin test ile ölçülmek istenen özelliği ölçtüğü bir diğer ifade ile geçerli olduğu söylenebilir. 1. Madde ise 0.24 düzeyinde bir korelasyona sahiptir. Bu durumda bu maddenin de gözden geçirilerek testte kalmasına ve böylece kapsam geçerliğinin zedelenmemesine karar verilmiştir. Testin güvenirlik katsayısı olarak KR-20 güvenirlik katsayısı hesaplanmış ve 0.88 olarak bulunmuştur. Çalışma sonucunda yabancı dil olarak Türkçe öğrenen B düzeyindeki öğrencilerin okuduklarını anlama düzeylerini ölçmede kullanılabilecek geçerlik ve güvenirlik değerlerine sahip bir başarı testi ortaya konulmuştur.

The purpose of the study is, by considering the achievements of the reading area involved in European Council Common Reference Framework for Foreign Languages, to develop "Comprehension Achievement Test About Reading Turkish as Foreign Language" (YDTOBT) in which a study was conducted for the validity and reliability which can measure the level of comprehension of students learning B level Turkish as a foreign language and which can be utilized in the assessment of reading skills. For this purpose, properties to be measured regarding achievements of reading area involved in Common Reference Text were identified, items were written in line with the target behavior to be achieved and they were reviewed. Expert opinions were consulted for content validity of the test. Item-test correlations (bi-serial correlation coefficient) were calculated in order to provide evidence regarding each item measures the skills that it want to measure in the test (reading comprehension) and to prove the validity of the items in this way. Later difficulty index of the test items were identified. The difficulty index in the selection of the questions has been noted to be between 0.20 and 0.80. Except item 1, it was identified that item-total correlations of all items were above 0.30. In this case, it may be said that all items measure the feature that is required to be measured with test, in other words they are valid. Item 1 has a correlation level of 0.24. In this case, it was also decided to review this item and to remain in the test and so not to damage the content validity. As a test reliability coefficient, KR-20 reliability coefficient was calculated and found to be 0.88. As a result of the study, an achievement test was conducted for the validity and reliability which can be used to measure the level of comprehension of students learning B level Turkish as a foreign language.
