Geçmişten günümüze miras bırakılan en özel hazinelerimizden birisidir kültürel değerlerimiz. Bu değerler içinde de en çok dikkat çekeni, geçmişimizi geleceğimize yansıtan folklorik değerlerimizdir. Bir annenin ağlayan çocuğunu uyutmak için mırıldandığı ninnilerden, her biri ayrı bir mesaj yüklü olan türkülere ve ağıtlara, bilgeliğin konuşturulduğu atasözlerinden, içinde sevinçleri, üzüntüleri, nükteli sözleri barındıran manilere kadar pek çok folklorik değer neredeyse unutulmaya yüz tutmaktadır. Geçmişte insanları bir araya getirme, kaynaştırma, aynı dili konuşma, bir duygu etrafında toplanma gibi kültürel mirasa sahip olan folklorik değerlerimizin, modern yaşam şartlarının insanı tutsak ettiği günümüzde zamana yenik düşerek ne yazık ki unutulmaya yüz tuttuğu görülmektedir. Bu bağlamda kişileri birbirine uzaklaştırmak yerine kaynaştıran folklorik öğelerde ne tür mesajlar verildiği, neler anlatıldığı ve hepsinden önemlisi de kişilerarası iletişime sağladığı katkıları araştırmak amacıyla böyle bir çalışma gerçekleştirilmiştir. Çalışmada Gümüşhane merkezinde, ilçelerinde ve köylerinde yaşayan 65 yaşının üzerinde olan on iki kişi ile yüz yüze görüşmeler yapılarak, geçmişte folklorik değerlerin kişilerarası iletişimde ne şekilde kullanıldığı araştırılmıştır. Görüşmeler sonucunda söz konusu folklorik değerlerin geçmişte insanlar arasında bir bağ kurmak, onları bilgilendirmek, eğitmek ve eğlendirmek amacıyla kullanıldığı bilgisine ulaşılmıştır. Adı geçen değerler içerisinde görüşme yapılan kişiler baz alındığında, türkü ve maninin kişilerarası iletişimde bir araç olarak daha çok kullanıldığı tespit edilmiştir. Çalışmada, iletişimi kolaylaştırmak ve insanları birbirine yakınlaştırmak için kullanılan yöresel folklorik değerlerin örneklerine yer verilmiştir.

Our cultural values as total is one of the most special treasures inherited from past to now. The most stand out one among these values is our folkloric values reflecting our past onto our future. From lullabies a mother murmured for lulling her crying child to folk songs and threnodies which every of them were loaded with a different message, from proverbs that make profundity talk to folks’ poems including cheers, sadnesses and wisecracks, many folkloric values inclines to be forgotten. It is seen that our folkloric values having a culcural inheritence like gathering the people together, causing them becoming closer, making them speak the same language, and come together around the same emotion, unfortunately inclined to be forgotten, being defeated by the time in today that modern living conditions captured human beings. In this context, this kind of a study is conducted in order to explore what kind of messages were given in folkloric items causing people to become closer instead of movng away from each other, what were told by those items, and the most important, their contributions to interpersonal communication. In the study, how folkloric values were used in the past in interpersonal communication had been searched by making conversations with ten people over the age of 65, living in Gümüşhane center, districts and villages. The knowledge that the said folkloric values were used to establish bounds between people, advisin, educating and entertaining them in the past had been reached in the end of those conversations. As the ones that we made conversations with are taken into consideration, it had been determined that folk songs and folks’ poems were more used as an instrument in interpersonal communication. In the study, samples of local folkloric values used to make communication easier and help people come closer had been featured.
