Hüsamettin Ali el-Bitlisî, Akkoyunlu Devleti döneminde yaşamış şark coğrafyasının bilinmeyen fakat çok değerli bir âlimidir. Hüsamettin Ali el-Bitlisî, nazarî-işarî tefsir ekolünün önemli bir temsilcisi ve ikinci klasik dönemin bilinmeyen değerli bir âlimidir. İsmi, daha ziyade oğlu İdris-i Bitlisî’den bahseden metinlerde geçmektedir. Özellikle felsefî ve tasavvufî içerikte eserler telif etmiştir ve eserlerinde varlık mertebeleri (ontoloji) ve insan-ı kâmil olma sürecine (psikoloji) dair meseleleri tartışmıştır. Nurbahşî tarikatına mensup olan Bitlisî, Nurbahşîliğin Tebriz’de yayılmasını sağlayan önemli isimlerden biri olmuştur. Müellifin gün yüzüne çıkmış eserlerinin tamamı, el yazması olarak Türkiye’deki çeşitli kütüphanelerde mevcuttur. Fakat böylesi önemli bir âlim hakkında yapılan çalışmalar yok denecek kadar azdır. Mevcut çalışmalar da onun ne hayatını ne de ilmî kişiliğini ortaya koyacak kapsamdadır. Bu araştırma, Hüsamettin Ali el-Bitlisî’nin adı ve nesebi, siyasî, ilmî ve manevî hayatı, bilinen hocaları, vefatı ve kısaca eserlerini konu edinmektedir.
Hüsamettin Ali El-Bitlisî, is an estimable yet relatively unknown scholar of the east who lived in the era of AQ Qoyunlu State. Hüsamettin Ali el-Bitlisî is an estimable yet relatively unknown scholar of the second classical period, as well as an important representative of nazari-işari commentary, and whose life have yet to be studied in detail. His name is rather mentioned in the texts where his son, İdris-i Bitlisî, is written about. He compiled texts that contain philosophy and sufi contents and discussed the levels of being (ontology) and the process of being insan-ı kâmil (the perfect human) (psychology). Belonging to the order of Nurbahşî, Bitlisî is an important figure in spreading the order throughout Tabriz. All the manuscripts of author that have been discovered are located in various libraries in Turkey. However, there are hardly any studies on such an important scholar and the existing ones fail to include his life and scholarly character. This study, therefore, is on the name and family line of Hüsamettin Ali el-Bitlisî, as well as his political, scholarly and spiritual life, and death; on his teachers that are known and his manuscripts in brief.
