For this reason, the studies for the dialect should be ended as soon as possible. In the field of dialect an important studies have been done by the participating of foreign researcher from 1867 to 1940. But studies of up to 1940 years are inadequate and incomplete work. After 1940, a new era began in dialect research. Together with Ahmet Jaferoglu, Turkish researchers period have begun and along with other scientists dialectology studies were continued. But in terms of dialect science it is not yet reached the desired level. There are no untouched areas within the borders of Turkey, In terms of folkloric, the general structure and dialect science it is one of the unprocessed area in Bayburt and its regions. Ahmet Jafaroglu who has compiled Turkey Turkish Dialects does not have any work on this region. The only studies based on the region are the graduation thesis related to subject area of central dialects. There are no any academic studies in terms of dialects science of Bayburt region. Consequently, it is difficult to identify the Bayburt dialects group. Here we will base on Leyla Karahan Classification of Anatolian Dialects. We will clarify the Bayburt regions dialects based on the features that Leyla Karahan stated. We will benefit from our determinations we get during the trips we made in the regions. In this study, we tried to determine the place of Bayburt dialects group in Turkey Turkish Dialects. While determining the dialect group, Bayburt administrative boundaries was taken essential and all towns and villages within these boundaries has taken place in the study. These findings are made on the basis of information received from tours of the region adhering to the classification of Leyla Karahan.},author={Serdar BULUT},year={2015},journal={Journal of Turkish Studies}}
