Birinci Dünya Savaşı sonunda imzalanmış olan antlaşmalar ile 1929 Dünya Ekonomik Buhranı’nın neden olduğu sıkıntılardan dolayı birçok Avrupa ülkesinde faşist partiler/rejimler iktidara gelmiştir. Bunların saldırgan dış politikaları ise dünyayı yeni bir savaşa sürüklemiştir. Bu ülkelerden birisi olan Almanya’da ise Adolf Hitler önderliğindeki Nazi Partisi yönetime gelmiştir. Adolf Hitler, İkinci Dünya Savaşı’nı resmen başlatan kişi olmasının yanı sıra savaş esnasında Yahudilere yönelik tutumu ile de adından söz ettirmiştir. Bu nedenle Alman işgaline maruz kalan ya da kalması muhtemel olan ülkelerde yaşayan Yahudiler, canlarını kurtarabilmek için dünyanın farklı yerlerine göç etmişlerdir. Bu yerlerden birisi de İngilizlerin idaresindeki Filistin’dir. Bu göçlerden, Filistin’e giden yol güzergâhı üzerinde olmasından dolayı Türkiye de etkilenmiştir. Bu çalışmada, İkinci Dünya Savaşı döneminde Türkiye’nin izlediği dış politika ve bu politikanın Filistin’e giden Yahudi mültecilere etkisi ele alınmıştır.

Adolf Hitler, who officially started the Second World War, was notorious for his treatment of the Jewish people during the war. This is why many Jews, who used to live in the countries invaded by Germany, fled those countries and emigrated to different parts of the world in order to save their own lives. Palestine, which was under British mandate, was one of those places where the Jewish people immigrated. Turkey was also affected by that immigration because of its location on the route to Palestine.
