National Korpus of Rusian Language: Creation,Objections and Perspectives

Russian language is one of the most common languages in the world. The usage of Russian language on the vast territory, the fact that it is the official language of many international agencies, deep understanding of the importance of the language policy in the international arena by the Russian authorities and their efforts in this direction play an important role in the popularity of Russian language in the world. One of the most successful examples of the active and consistent language policy in education is the Project of National Corpus of Russian Language, beeing the great source in Russian studies and providing rich and easily accessible materials for the researchers. The site, taking as example the British National Corpus and the Chech National Corpus, is the information network, collecting literary works, poems, daily conversation and Russian texts, taken from the newspapers and other sources in the electronic form. The main peculiarity of the National Corpus of Russian Language, presenting language according to the style, regional and social variety, is an incorporation of the examples of the texts, using different literary, newspaper, science, oficial, daily conversation languages and different dialects. This article reviews the creation, spheres of usage and perspectives of the National Corpus of Russian Language, which is considered to be the most important Project of Russian studies in Russia and possible contributions of the above mentioned site to the National Corpus of Turkish Language, which is quite new in comparison with National Corpus of Russian Language.
