Bu çalışmanın amacı 8. Sınıf Fen ve Teknoloji ders kitabı, çalışma kitabı ve öğretmen kılavuz kitabının yapılandırmacı yaklaşıma uygunluk düzeyini araştırmaktır. Çalışmada, MEB Tarafından DİKEY yayıncılığa hazırlatılan ders kitabı, çalışma kitabı ve öğretmen kılavuz kitabı incelenmiştir. Araştırmada, doküman analizi yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Küçüközer Bostan, Kenar, Seçer ve Yavuz (2008) tarafından geliştirilen “Yapılandırmacı Ders kitabı Değerlendirme Ölçeği” üzerinde bazı değişiklikler ve eklemeler yapılarak verilerin değerlendirilmesi bu ölçek kullanılarak yapılmıştır. Seçilen bir ünite iki uzman tarafından değerlendirilmiş ve verilen puanlar arasındaki korelasyon hesaplanmıştır. Ölçeğin güvenilirliği. 78 olarak bulunmuştur. Kullanılan ölçek giriş, öğretim, değerlendirme olmak üzere üç bölümden oluşmaktadır. Kitap içerisindeki sekiz ünite içerisinden rastgele iki ünite seçilmiştir. Bu üniteler Hücre Bölünmesi ve Kalıtım ünitesi ve Maddenin Yapısı ve Özellikleri ünitesidir. Bu üniteler “Yapılandırmacı Ders kitabı Değerlendirme Ölçeği” kullanılarak incelenmiştir. Çalışmanın sonucunda, kitap setleri içerisinde giriş bölümü her iki ünite için de kılavuz ve çalışma kitaplarında yetersiz, ders kitabında az yeterli olarak bulunmuştur. Öğretim bölümü ise kılavuz ve ders kitabında az yeterli, çalışma kitabında yetersiz olarak tespit edilmiştir. Özellikle, kitap setlerinde değerlendirme bölümüne çok önem verilmediği ve değerlendirme bölümünün yetersiz olduğu görülmüştür. Sonuç olarak ders kitabı, öğretmen kılavuz kitabı ve çalışma kitabının incelenen üniteler bazında değerlendirildiğinde yapılandırmacı yaklaşıma uygunluğunun az yeterli olduğu belirlenmiştir.

The purpose of this study is to determine the level of appropriateness of an eigth grade Science and Technology textbook, workbook and teacher’s guidebook to the constructivist approach. The Science and Technology for 8th graders textbook, work book and guide book which MONE has publicated by DIKEY, have been investigated. This study which was carried out with document analysis method. “Constructivist Coursebook Evaluation Scale” was used in order to collect the data . Tha data was evaluated according to this scale which was developed by Küçüközer Bostan, Kenar, Seçer ve Yavuz (2008) by being made some changes and additions. The reliability coefficient of the scale was calculated as .78. There are three parts in the scale. These are introduction, teaching, and assessment parts. It was choosen two units randomly from the eight units in the books and investigated by using “Constructivist Coursebook Evaluation Scale”. These units are “Division of Cell and Heritage” and “ Nature of the Matter and Its Properties” units. As a resul of the study, it was found that for the introduction criteria for the two units are insufficient in guide book and work book but it is less sufficient in textbook. For the teaching criteria the units are less sufficient in guide book and textbook but it is insufficient in work book. Especially it was seen that it was not given importance to evaluation part in the book sets and this part is insufficient in these books. As a result fort he examined unit ,it was determined that the appropriateness of the textbook, workbook and teacher’s guidebook are less sufficient to the constructivist approach.
