The Effects of Scene Narration Styles in Stories on Narration and Stories of Yıldız Ramazanoğlu

A novelist or a storyteller can narrate a story in different ways. A novelist/storyteller, makes use of narration techniques to tell the story in the style he/she wants. The way of using narrative techniques are among the components which form the genre of the writers. Another way which the writer applies to while narrating is the method which is expressed with the words ''staging/ presentation''. The scenes in a novel or story can be narrated in different ways. The scene narration methods of storyteller Yıldız Ramazanoğlu are analyzed in this essay. The way how the scenic methods affect the writers general narration is also found. Yıldız Ramazanoğlu makes little use of the classical staging method, which aims to show the external world. The dialogue method decreases the intervention of the narrator in staging. Yıldız Ramazanoğlu uses dialogues together with interpretation and apprizing expressions. This situation has got two meanings in the narration features of the writer. Firstly; Yıldız Ramazanoğlu's narration is mainly of the internal world and secondly, the writer's stories are generally long. The writer narrates more scenes by the methods she uses. The internal world narration takes an important place in the writer's stories. This situation is reflected on the writers scene narration style. It can be seen that extrovert and introvert display is within each other in the writer's scenes. Yıldız Ramazanoğlu's stories are generally long. The inner world display of the author's narration is more on the forefront. The stages which display the external world are taken short. These stages are narrated between the internal world narration, and one within the other from place to place. All these make Yıldız Ramazanoğlu's reader's work more difficult. The stories of the writer demand a slower, a more intense and a more attentive reading. This slowness and attention is important. Otherwise, especially the homodiegetic narrator's attention and the interpretations which are the reflection of these attentiveness can escape the attention. The attentiveness and the interpretations are important in terms of understanding the characters. The same situation comes into question when the characters are narrated by a out of text narrator. Internal world narrations take an important place in Yıldız Ramazanoğlu's stories. The external/ objective world is in the forefront in predominantly staging narration. In staging, the characters are shown in the objective world stages. The narrations which give direct knowledge about the characters gain importance in narrations which show the characters inner world. There are various narration methods for expressing the internal world. These methods are greatly used in Yıldız Ramazanoğlu's stories. Besides this, staging of the classical sense is less in the writer's stories. In current stages, the staging method's function of showing the objective world without an agent is reduced. There are little dialogues, the dialogues are generally between the inner worlds and is usually given in conjunction with interpretive statements etc. This situation contributes to narration on the basis of the internal world in the writer's stories.
