Is Turkish A Double Object Language

In the literature it has been asserted that Turkish is double objects language. However, it is impossible that double objects takes place in Turkish sentence in terms of valency grammar. Constructions appearing double objects similar to true double object constructions in terms of neither syntactic or semantic. These constructions transfrom from other constructions. Constructions appearing double objects is based on small clause in which the subject of inner clause is raised to object of sentence. Predicate of small clause is exposed to noun incorporation with verb of sentence and turns into a new syntactic formation. In this syntactic formation predicate of small clause gives way to syntactic element called verb modifier. It has been understood that the verb modifier constructions are function of causativisation and take place commonly synatactic environment of cognitive verbs.
