Siyasal reklam, siyasal kampanya sürecinde seçmen davranışını etkilemeye yönelik olarak gerçekleştirilen önemli bir siyasal iletişim bileşenidir. Siyasal partiler ya da adaylar siyasal reklamları kullanarak seçmen desteğini elde etmeyi amaçlamaktadırlar. Bu amaçla, siyasal reklamlarda farklı temalar ve farklı unsurlar kullanılmaktadır. Son dönemde Türkiye'de gerçekleşen seçimlerde kullanılan temalardan biri de "millet" temasıdır. Bu çalışma kapsamında, Cumhurbaşkanlığı seçimlerinde yayınlanan "Cumhur Başkanını Seçiyor" siyasal reklamı ile 30 Mart 2014 yerel seçimlerinde yayınlanan "Millet Eğilmez Türkiye Yenilmez" siyasal reklamı göstergebilimsel çözümleme yöntemi ile çözümlenmiştir. Çalışmada incelenen siyasal reklamlarda "millet" temasının sunumu ve "millet" temasının temsilinde kullanılan öğeler analiz edilmiştir. Siyasal reklamlarda duygusal formasyon ve korku çekiciliği unsurlarının kullanıldığı sonucuna varılmıştır.
Political advertising is an important political communication components performed to influence voter behavior in the political campaign process. Political parties or candidates aim at to gain the support of voters, while using political ads. For this purpose, different themes and different elements are used in political ads. Recently, in one of the themes used in the actual elections in Turkey, is theme of "nation". In this study, political ads "Rep Elects the President" published in the presidential election and "National rigid Turkey Invincible" published in the March 30, 2014 local elections, have been analyzed with semiotic analysis method.İn the study, presantation of the theme of "nation" and elements used in the represantation were analyzed. İt is concluded that fear appeal and emotional formation were used in the political ads.
