Due to the requirements of genesis human is obliged to needs and a being who can’t live without satisfy his needs. Eating, drinking, sleeping, listening, sight, listening, listening, talking, laughing are some of them. Like all the other necessities description, listening and belief necessities are existed in every place and everytime. Human being have always resorted to various actions by different ways and means according to eras to satisfy this needs. In coherence to this study, a kind of folk literatüre known as epics or sagas are thought to meet the needs of humans and this literate kind being in the midst of an “secondary oral culture” which is an event roused and brought about again by means of technological communication and by thoroughly examining and analizing the Valley of the Wolves series the common point between traditional and contemporary values have been interpreted in the light of various sociological data readings. In this way, according to the data recieved and the assesments made, inside the Valley of the Wolves series many elements and motifs, that should not be under valued, belonging to epics can be pointed out. So, it is seen that the tv series’ –Kurtlar Vadisi- modern epic which build on epic tradition, and adapted to our era’s interests, requests and expectations; and the traditional archetype’s features represantative Polat Alemdar is the ideal human model namely alpine-type who existed with his hugeness. In this study, this series film-epic element and motif relationship has been investigated, this situation’s reasons and results have been connected to the intense interest towards the series and has been rated with a various perspective.
