In late period Turkish novels, the readers are expected to adopt a selective attitude since there is an increase in both quality and quantity. Also the increase of postmodernist effects led to come out a variety of reader profiles because of the large number of novels. Hasan Ali Toptaş is an important author who contributed both for the improvement of the novel in Turkish literature and also for the formation of qualified readers. He gained ground for himself in Turkish literature with his style and form of fiction editing and also he is a novelist who is able to create natural bonds between living and writing. It is possible to see the symbols and traces of magical reality, being an easterner, existentialist inquisition, modernism and postmodernism in his works such as Gölgesizler, Bin Hüzünlü Haz, Heba, Uykuların Doğusu. This study contains a general view about Gölgesizler, which has an important place in Hasan Ali Toptaş’s literary works with its polysemy and multidimensional structure. Within its fiction editing, modernist and postmodernist aspects, poetic language, imageries of scene and character and united structure with integrated particles, Gölgesizler is accepted as an unique breakthrough as a part of late period Turkish novels. In this study, to what extend Gölgesizler is significant for Turkish literature will be emphasized and the details will be given about the courtesy of fiction editing and form of expression.
