Bu makalede; dini, sosyal, siyasi, kültürel vb. gibi pek çok konuda Orta Asya coğrafyasını konu edinen “Bozkırın Sırrı Türk Peygamber” romanı halkbilimi açısından değerlendirilmektedir. Türk edebiyatında kültür temalı romanın tarihi gelişimi düşünüldüğünde, gelenek ve görenekleri, köy yaşamını yani kültürü konu edinen ilk romanlar, ilk köy romanı mevzusunu ortaya çıkarmıştır. Pek çok konuda ilklerin yaşandığı bu dönemlerde “köy” teması da yazarların Anadolu’ya yönelişinde zengin sunumlar bulmuştur. Köy edebiyatının/köy romanının temellerinin atıldığı o günlerden bugünlere roman -her ne kadar batılı bir tür olarak değerlendirilse de- zengin anlatımlar ve örneklerle Türk kültür dairesinde kendisine özel bir yer edinmiştir. Bozkırın Sırrı Türk Peygamber romanı, önceki örneklerinde büyükşehirlerden/İstanbul köy yaşamına olan yönelişin, Anadolu’dan Orta Asya’ya yani Anadolulu bir yazarın gözünden Orta Asya’dan Anadolu’ya açılan bir penceresi olmuştur. Romanda aranan Anadolu değildir, bugün Anadolu’da sahip olunan mirasın hazırlanışıdır. Bu bağlamda romanda halkbilimi açısından Anadolu’ya ulaşılmaya çalışılmıştır. Bozkır, bugünkü Türk kültürünün doğuş havzasıdır. Millet olmayı, devlet olmayı ve her türlü üretimi burada öğrenen Türkler, pek çok nedene bağlı olarak bu birikimi Anadolu topraklarına ulaştırmışlardır. Bugün Anadolu’da görülen geleneklerin pek çoğunun Orta Asya kökenli oluşu, Türk kültürünün bu bölgeden çeşitli coğrafyalara yayılmasıyla ilgilidir. Bir bozkır romanı olan eser, Orta Asya geleneklerinin zengin örneklerini sunar. Bu yönüyle değerlendirildiğinde romanın önemi daha net olarak anlaşılmaktadır.

In this article; the novel of Bozkırın Sırrı Türk Peygamber which deal with the culture and geography of Central Asia in terms of many aspects such as religious, political, social and cultural issues has been examined according to elements of folklore. When considering the historical development of the culture-themed novels in Turkish Literature, the first novels depicting the traditions, customs, and cultural themes in a village setting have initiated the first village novels. In this period, there have been a number of new attempts in literature and writers have started being interested in Anatolia and they have presented rich examples of village-themed novels. Althoug it is regarded as a genre with a western origin, the village-themed literature or novel has proved itself as a special literal genre in Turkish Literature with its groundbreaking samples that have been published since those periods. The novel of Bozkırın Sırrı Türk Peygamber is a great example of he drifts from Anatolia to Central Asia unlike the drifts from villages to thé metropolitan of Istanbul observed in the first examples. In the novel, the place that is being looked for is not Anatolia. The thing that is being traced is the preparation of the current heritage in Anatolia. In this context, this novel is examined in terms of folklore with an aim of reaching Anatolia. Steppe is the origin where Turkish culture was born. Turkish people learnt how to be a nation, how to be a state and how to produce in steppe and brought this knowledge and these traditions to Anatolia. The reason why most of the traditions observed in Anatolia today is related to thé Central Asia is because Turkish culture spread the other geographies from the Central Asia. Being a steppe novel, Bozkırın Sırrı Türk Peygamber provides rich examples of this culture. From this point of view, the importance of this novel is obvious.
