Bu çalışma ile disiplin konusu olarak, eğitim- öğretimi etkileyen, okul aile işbirliğini de yakından ilgilendiren öğrencilere uygulanan ve sürekli tartışılan kılık kıyafet politikaları ve kılık kıyafet uygulamasının önemini, başka ülkelerde bu konudaki uygulamalarla medyamızdaki konu ile ilgili haberlere yer vererek, konunun pedagojik, ekonomik ve sosyal boyutlarının, önemini, ortaya koymak amaçlanmıştır. Çağın gerektirdiği özelliklerle uygun insanı yetiştirmek, bilim ve teknolojide ilerlemek, ancak eğitim öğretim ve örgüt ikliminin uygunluğu nu sağlamış çağdaş öğretimin gerektirdiği tarzda kendini düzenleyen eğitim sistemleriyle mümkündür. Bu çalışmada veri toplama aracı olarak, araştırmacılar tarafından geliştirilmiş olan “Veli bakış açısı ölçek ” kullanılmıştır. Üçlü likert tipi yanıtlama formatına sahip ve toplam 32 maddeden oluşan araç, yapı ve kapsam geçerliğine ilişkin görüşlerin elde edilmesinin ardından 450 lise öğrenci velisinden oluşan örnekleme uygulanmıştır. Ayrıca Van ilinde yaptığımız ve öğrencilere uyguladığımız aynı konudaki ayrı bir makalenin verileri karşılaştırma amacıyla kullanılmıştır. Verilerin analizinde Yüzde, Frekans ve Ki-kare analizi uygulanmıştır. Kaynak taraması şeklinde yapılan araştırma sonunda, Öğretimin etkili ve verimli olması ve kalitenin artması büyük ölçüde disipline veli ve çevre faktörünün desteğine ve güvenli ortamların oluşturmasına bağlı olduğu, velileri ekonomik olarak zorlasa da, öğrencilerin zamanını alsa da zengin fakir ayrımı ortaya çıkarsa da, çağ acısından bir gereklilik olduğu bu uygulamanın devam etmesi şeklinde sonuçlara ulaşılmıştır.

This study aimed at revealing the importance of dress policies (and dress code) – a much-debated disciplinary issue – that affect education, are of particular concern to parent-teacher cooperation, and are applied to students, showing the practices of other countries on this subject as well as the coverage of this matter in the Turkish media, and demonstrating the pedagogical, economic, and social dimensions of the issue. The proper education of people in accordance with the requirements of our age and the achievement of progress in science and technology are possible only with education systems having a suitable educational environment, an appropriate organizational climate, and an arrangement required by the modern education. In this study parent perspective scale enhanced by researchers has been used as data collection tool. The tool which has responding formation triple likert scale type and consist of totally 32 items; has been applied to a sample consists of 450 high school student parents. In addition, a different paper’s datas on the same subject which we made in the province of Van and applied to students have been used for the purpose of comparison after acquiring the views regarding to form validity and content validity,. On the data analysis, percentage analysis, frequency analysis and chi square analysis have been used. The results of the present study – a literature review – showed that the effectiveness, productiveness, and quality of education depended on discipline, the support of parents and environment, and the creation of reliable environments to a great extent, that free dress was necessary for our age although it caused parents to have economic difficulties, took the time of students, and brought-out the rick-poor distinction, and that it should be maintained.
