In Turkish literature history from 15th century to 20th century, fourteen translations of poetic or prose of this collected work have been ascertained. This collected work is recounted to have been prepared by Tabersî (ö. 1154). Hâfız is one of the poets translating sayings in Nesrü’l-lelâlî into Turkish poetically. Hâfız, about whose life we don’t have information, completed his translation named “Lü’lü’-i Mendûd” to present Sultan Murad in H.825 /M.1422. Translator has his work made because he found Rubais which are about Hz. Ali’s sayings of a poet who is called Kıvam who is the son of Imam indefinite, incomprehensible and closed, according to context. His aim is to clarify these beautiful sayings, meaning to say, to translate this into Turkısh in a style which padishah can understand. Poet translated arabic old sayings which attributed to Hz. Ali, into Turkısh in accordance with the shape of Aruz ” mefâîlün mefâîlün feûlün” with each verse. In this study firstly mentioned work of Hâfız was introduced and analyzed as to form and substance; then it was presented based on the only known manuscript print and was translated into today’s Turkish.},author={Adem Ceyhan-- Tuğba AYDOĞAN},year={2013},journal={Journal of Turkish Studies}}
